 Description:
The VSX-D498 Dolby Digital receiver by Pioneer is a surround sound receiver that can easily serve as the centerpiece of a home theater system. The amplifier outputs 80 watts per channel across five channels to provide plenty of power for each speaker in your system. Four audio and four video inputs (with independent minidisc/tape and VCR inputs) leave plenty of room for adding on components, and three digital inputs give the receiver the ability to receive digital bit-stream signals from your DVD player. There is also one set of front audio-video inputs and separate subwoofer and center channel pre-outputs. Key features include Dolby Digital decoding and digital signal processing with six simulated sound modes for the ultimate cinema audio reproduction. The midnight mode feature is convenient for automatically lowering the volume of loud cinema music and sound effects while emphasizing dialogue--a nice feature for enjoying your movie without disturbing others late at night. Other convenient features include a 30-station-preset digital AM/FM tuner, a dimmer control for lowering the display brightness, and a full-function remote control. The Pioneer VSX-D498 comes with a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
