Summary: Inconsistent
Review: Although my canon rebel SLR is incredible and we've had great canon's before, this one is very disappointing and inconsistent. I've had the same problems as others with blurry pictures and delays in taking photos after pushing the button. I'd recommend finding another camera or upgrading to a SLR from Canon (though pricey).

Summary: Great Vacation Pictures
Review: Although the directions for this camera can leave you feeling a bit overwhelmed, once you are comfortable with the camera, everything is great. I have used all of the modes and taken pictures both indoors and outdoors, and the quality of the pictures is above average. A great find for the price.

Summary: Great Camera - Fun Features - Excellent Pictures
Review: Bought this camera in a pinch as our old one broke two days before Christmas. Didn't get a chance to read the reviews here first (and I'm glad I didn't or I probably would not have bought it!). I quickly snapped a roll of 24-exposure film to try the camera out and see if we wanted to keep it.

The pictures came out BEAUTIFULLY! I took some indoors, some out. Some with the fully automatic point-and-shoot, and expermimented with the potrait mode, sports action mode, and night mode. They all came out fantastically!

It's like having two cameras in one - a fully automatic no-brainer point and shoot as well as some features that allow you to be more creative and experimental with photography if you want to. Also a great zoom.

Canon must have corrected the issues that some of the eariler reviewers posted, because I did not experience any of these problems.

Summary: Worst camera ever
Review: I am so glad after seeing the other reviews to know that I'm not crazy- this camera really is awful! The inconsistent quality of photos is dreadful, with many underlit and blurry for no clear reason. I love my other Cannon and wish they would stay away from making such supposedly "smart" cameras.

Summary: Was The Worse Camera I Ever Come Across
Review: I bought this camera a month before I go on my vacation. Because I trust Canon, I didn't think that it would be a problem. But little that I know when the day I arrive in a tropical island and loaded the film, it doesn't work and wouldn't let me take any pictures. I call Canon's technical support line and they are not being very helpful at all. They went over with me the procedures that I already know. It's the same thing as the instructions.
Overall, this camera ruin my trip. I have to go and buy 5 disposable camera so I would have any pictures for this trip.

Summary: Inconsistent
Review: I bought this camera about 10 months ago and have taken it on 4 vacations. It has been terribly inconsistent. I've only gotten consistent photos on 1 trip; the photos of the other 3 trips have been a major disappointment. I usually only use my camera for vacation, and clear, beautiful pictures are very important to me. My photos of Hawaii and London were dark, unfocused, and overall just not good. I use the same place and same people to develop my photos. I take a digital camera along on all my trips, and my digital photos turn out amazing; the digital photos are usually taken right after my film photos, so their subjected to the same conditions as the film.
My mother has a Canon Sure Shot 115 and it takes great photos, so I thought I would give Canon a try. I had a Minolta Freedom Zoom 140, and I believe it takes better photos than this Canon, and the Minolta was doused in sea water on a cruise!

Overall, for this amount of money, I would shop around. This camera is just too inconsistent. Also, I have problems with it wanting to focus "lock" on a subject, and if it won't lock, you can't take a picture. The zoom is also very noisy.

Summary: A love/hate relationship
Review: I bought this camera before reading the reviews, and then was pretty uncomfortable when I saw all the negative comments. That said, I needed a camera for my first trip to Hawaii that was 1)not expensive, 2)light enough to carry around, and 3)uncomplicated. (I am notorious for NOT wanting to read instructions. Some people love to read those fat little manuals from cover to cover. Not me.)
So, I took a roll or two before going on the trip. What I found was not much different than the reviewers before me: the personal setting made horrible, blurry messes, and sometimes the full zoom did the same thing. However, the automatic setting did a great job. So I stuck with that, and almost every photo taken on that setting, out of 11 rolls of film, was beautiful. The camera was ideal for what I needed, especially since I didn't feel moved to go digital just yet, and I'm quite happy with it.

You do have to tell any random person who is taking a photo of you and your friends, to hold the button down FOREVER because it truly does take 4 or 5 seconds sometimes to take the photo.

Summary: Love it!
Review: I bought this camera several months before my daughter was born. I wanted a good camera that was not hard to use, that both me and my husband could use. I used it a few times before she was born and the pictures have been wonderful!!!! And now that she is here, we are enjoying the camera even more. I always use 400 or 800 Kodak film and am alsways pleased. I only use 2 of the settings, but plan to read my manual later and try them out. I have only had one batch of bad pictures and I think it was due to having had them developed at a cheap one-hour place... Alas, this is a great camera that takes great pictures, especially if you don't really know what you're doing!!! I bought some black & white film and am anxious to try it in my camera. You can't go wrong with this camera!

Summary: The BEST there is out there!
Review: I have had this camera for 9 months and have taken it everywhere. This is a great camera and delivers super photos. I have taken pics on the beach, at night, at basketball games and also from a moving bus. The results are just breath-taking! Highly Recommended

Summary: Canon z155 Excellent Camera and Features!
Review: I love this camera because the pics come out so clear and detailed. Each of the settings are a must. I like to use the night setting for taking pics at night time. Faces actually came out without that ghost look. Portrait mode is great and balances the brightness/contrast evenly. Action mode is also a must because it took great action pics at a soccer game. Overall the auto mode is great and it will work great in common conditions. Another good feature that I'm not to crazy about that's also a plus is the captions. This allows you to add words to the pic such as "I love you" or "Happy Birthday". The captions are limited but I could care less about that. Otherwise you will love this camera. I bought it on sale for ... Just shop around but if you can't wait, just go for it. You will not be sorry. The Canon Z155 truly delievers.
