Summary: This is *the* point'n'shoot.
Review: The Contax T3 is the best point'n'shoot in the world--the Leica Minilux is wonderful, but without external flash support (but it's wonderful lens is 1/2 step faster); the Rollei AFM 35 is the same thing but only 1/4 stop faster. Other special-production, top models from the likes of Minolta are OK, but the T3 is the real deal. Complementary products are the 28mm- and 21mm-lens models from Ricoh; for general use, though, the Contax T3, with its external TTL flash capability and best-in-class Zeiss T* lens, wins out.

Summary: Still The Best 35mm Compact Camera
Review: The Contax T3 still remains the best camera in its class, offering more features and better quality than current and former production models from Leica, Nikon and Ricoh. Without question, it is a better camera than my Yashica T4 Super, since its Carl Zeiss 38mm f2.8 T* Sonnar is a sharper, more contrasty optic than the Yashica's Carl Zeiss 35mm f3.5 T* Tessar. I have compared photos taken with this camera with those from Leica's compact cameras, and still this camera wins with regards to contrast and resolution. Anyone interested in a premium quality compact 35mm camera should regard the Contax T3 as the ideal choice.
