Summary: Not very impressed
Review: After reading the reviews on this site for this camera it sounded like the perfect camera to give my friend as a gift. She has been loving using my expensive SLR camera and I was hoping that if she had a nice camera she would be able to take photos that were of a great quality like mine. Well I purchased this Cannon Sure Shot and the first reason we didn't like it was that the flash took forever to take a photo. The time from when you pushed the button to when it finially finished the photo was to long for taking pictures of kids. The second thing we didn't like was that the viewfinder was so small. It made it really difficult to take accurate photos at night. I would just have to hope that I got everyone in the photo. This might just be because we are spoiled with my SLR camera but I ended up returning the Canon Sure Shot. I am now going to try another point and shoot camera and hope I have better luck. I wouldn't recommend the Cannon Sure Shot camera to anyone who wants to take photos of kids or anything else where the moment would pass you by in a couple of seconds because with this camera you won't be able to capture that moment on film.

Summary: Don't buy this camera.
Review: Bought this camera in August /September(for a gift). Didn't use it for a month and a half.I couldn't get camera to work. Called Canon, wouldn't replace it, kept getting a flashing "H" Got no warranty, Canon said it was a "diaognostic malfunction" No satification at all. Very unhappy about this purchase

Summary: Bad choice - camera leaks light & Canon won't fix it
Review: I bought a Canon Sure Shot at a local camera shop and discovered in a few months that it had a light leak, which caused all my prints to be overexposed in one corner. Canon took it back for warranty repair, held onto it for several months, then returned it. Thinking it was fixed, I didn't bother verifying the repair within one year of the original purchase. It turns out that Canon did nothing to repair it, and Canon now refuses to do the repair that it should have done in the first place because the original one year warranty has expired. I'll never buy another Canon and advise others to consider both the lack of quality and service I've experienced.

Summary: This camera rocks and rolls!
Review: I purchased this camera for my grandmother as a Mother's Day gift. She opened the wrapping paper and asked me to show her how to use it. I started reading the manual...I ended up taking the camera home with me and I have had it ever since! I just ordered one for myself from Amazon. After I receive mine, I will return Granny's.

If you want the quality and features of a 35MM SLR, but do not want to carry around a big SLR then buy a Cannon Sure Shot from the "U" line. This one, the 90U, has a nice 2.3 zoom. The more expensive Sure Shots from the "U" line have stronger zoom lenses, but without a tripod it is hard to use such a powerful zoom without blurring the pictures. The 90U is the way to go. Do not buy any other point and shoot 35MM camera.

Summary: Great Photo Quality!
Review: I received the Canon Sure Shot, a few weeks ago, as a wedding gift. I am completely impressed with the quality of the pictures. The colors are noticeably more crisp & clear than the photos I take with my Olympus Stylus camera, and costed about the same price. My Olympus Epic Stylus is a little bit smaller & lighter & has a weather resistant cover. However, the Canon is plenty small & light compared to other cameras.... and the output is so much nicer, that I plan to use this as my main camera (I'll save the ultralight, weather-resistant Olympus for hiking or backpacking). I have to give this a 5... a great buy.

Summary: Wonderful Film Camera
Review: I researched about film camera's before I bought this. I always read great reviews and I've always been a strong proponent of Canon products. Canon sureshot 90u did not disappoint me. It has an amazing zoom and picture clarity is great. It also has Auto/manual mode with Auto/always on flash.
The camera body is stylish and sleek. The pictures came out great both in matte and shiny finish. I also tried taking pictures in day/night/dusk outdoor and indoor. All the pictures were good, though I have to say that outdoor pictures came out better. Overall, it is a very good camera. If you thinking about buying any other cheap film camera, dont do that. Buy this camera and I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

Summary: Rip-off! Canon knew there was problem, sold cameras anyway
Review: If you look up "canon" and "flashing h" in a search engine, you'll see what you'll get if you buy this camera. Canon knew there was a problem and put the cameras on the market anyway. Huge rip-off and a waste of my $90. I WILL NEVER BUY A CANON PRODUCT AGAIN.

Summary: Awesome camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: My mom bought this camera for me as a graduation gift and I desperately needed a good camera before my trip to England. While camera shoppping, I was looking for a camera that was in the $70-$80 price range and that had zoom. The zoom feature on some of the cameras wasn't very impressive, so soon has I saw this camera I wanted it. I liked the size, it could easily fit into a small purse, and the zoom feature was great, for (a little) more I got a great camera. I got back my pictures, they turned out fantastic. I would definitly recommend this camera for anyone that's on a budget and needs a camera with a good zoom feature.
