Summary: Best Camera 4 the $$
Review: Easy to use - Great Pictures ! I've used autofocus and manual focus cameras for years and have found this to be the best of the lot, for ease of use and quality of pictures.

I suggest using the 400 speed film for in & outdoor shots, as the autofocus feature seems to like that best.

Summary: Bad choice
Review: I have always heard good things about the Olympus brand so I assumed when I bought this camera that I would be happy with it. Three weeks after purchasing it the zoom quit working. I called the Olympus customer service but I found then very unhelpful. I brought it back to the store and exchanged it for a new one of the exact same model. I immediatly put batteries in and tried it out but this one was broke too with the same problem! So, two cameras in a row were broke, one after three weeks, one already when I purchased it. I finally took it back to the store and exchanged it for a different brand of camera. I'm not impressed with this camera!

Summary: A very handy camera
Review: I purchased this camera because I wanted a small camera to take with me on rainy days or when I did not want to carry around my Pentax P3 or my Nikon FG-20 and various lens. I was skeptical about how well this camera would meet my diserning eye, but I thought for the price, and that it had been refurbished, it was worth a try. My husband and I went to Harper's Ferry for our honeymoon and spent 2 days taking pictures by the two rivers and of the church. Because of the heat, I opted to leave my good cameras behind and just take this little Olympus, knowing this would be a once in a life time opportunity and that camera needed to do well! When we got the prints back, and it really makes a difference where you get your photos developed!, the quality and clarity of the photos were excellent. I really do enjoy having a small camera so I able to relax and enjoy the hike and also trust that my photos will be clear and sharp. I am pleased with the one that I have purchased.

Summary: Nice features
Review: I really liked a really cool feature on this camera. The viewfinder contains a crossbar which should be placed at the object you want to focus. Then you can depress the shutter button slightly and move the camera - it would not refocus. Very useful if the objects of interest are not at the centre of your photograph.

Quartz date printing is good. No accessories are provided, you'll have to buy the case, batteries and film yourself.

I'd recommend this camera if all you need is point-and-shoot with reasonable zoom.

Review: I recieved this camera for Christmas, and have had the opportunity to use it in diverse situations. Consistent with my experience with Olympus products, it is easy to use and takes sharp, well exposed pictures. Olympus is known for making sharp lenses, even in lower priced cameras, and this one doesn't dissapoint. It is bigger than many other point and shoot cameras, but I prefer having something a little bigger. There have been some complaints about the date imprinting, I also don't like it, but it can be turned off. Read the instruction manual, it's not hard to do.
The only compliant I have is that the lens is quite slow. With ISO 100 film, the flash comes on in all but the brightest sunlight. ISO 400 film is recommended. However, this problem goes with the territory in point and shoots with zoom lenses, and to fix it would greatly increase the size, weight and cost of the camera.
The exposure system is accurate, the only problem I had was in Death Valley, taking a picture at Badwater, all the white salt fooled the exposure system into underexposing the picture, but it was still well within the exposure latitude of the film.
I haven't replaced the original battery in this camera, which is even more impressive in that I took the battery out of another camera which broke. Point and shoots eat batteries for breakfast, this one seems to do quite well in the battery life department. ...
In short, if you're looking for a zoom lens point and shoot, prefer something on the larger size, ... you can't go wrong with this camera. Good features, great pictures, and Olympus quality.

Summary: Great camera!
Review: So far, this camera is great. The viewfinder is large and easy to look through. The auto focus cross in the middle of the veiwfinder is good because you can see if your subject is centered or not. The zoom is also great, getting up close and detailed. An amazing thing is that if the subject is closer than 2 feet away from the camera, it wont take the picture, so you wont have, blurry, out of focus pictures. I haven't developed the first roll first, but I'm sure the pictures will come out sharp and colorful.

Review: This camera is not outstanding, but does have some nice features. I have had the most success with taking pictures using natural light. If you take most of your pictures outside, this would be a good camera.

The different flash settings are nice and the red eye reduction works well. But, I've had trouble in general with using the flash in very dim settings. The background often comes out looking totally dark.

I hate pictures that have the digital date stamped on them in the corner. This camera does that, but that option works off its own battery, not the main camera battery. I just took out the little battery and the pictures come out plain.

Another thing I like is that it will not allow you to take the picture if it is out of focus. A light flashes on the inside of the viewfinder it's not focused. Then, you know you need to back up or re-adust your aim.

Review: This is certainly a very great camera. About the only I problem i have with it, is that it's kinda bulky, and not easily carried around in a pocket. But when I finally got my pictures back from a trip i took, the picutre quality was incredible. I took my pics on 200 film instead of the recommended 400, and they still came out great. The zooms takes you a lot closer to the action that most other cameras do. And the automatic rewind feature sure is handy. If you're looking for a great camera [without paying a few hundred dollars], you CAN'T go wrong with this item!
