Summary: So much fun to use!
Review:
Before using this camera, I pictured myself madly fiddling with a bunch of buttons after taking each photo. This just wasn't the case - it took virtually no time to preview each print and make the choices for it. Granted, it's a very small color screen, so you can't judge details or sharpness of the photo. But you can judge the angle and overall effect of the photo you just took. You can then choose, in a matter of seconds, what size you'd prefer it to be and how many prints you'd like developed (0-9).

This camera is a great size, large enough to be comfortable in your hand. I like that the lens cover is hard, attractive and opens with ease. I'd never used APS before, and I love being able to drop in the film and go. The camera takes two batteries, which load quickly.

I had read about the difficulty of finding a developer to process this film correctly. The top two online developers will not process the number of prints you choose when you expose the film. The head of the film processing at our local [store] had never developed preview film, but he was eager to try it out. Sure enough, he printed the number of prints we wanted and the sizes we chose.

I will be carrying this camera on our trip to Scotland, mainly for the preview function. I'll never have to order reprints again - choosing negatives, filling out forms. And no wasted prints! My favorite feature is the ability to print the date and time on the back of each photo. There will be no need to keep a film log as we go.

I have withheld one star from the rating because of the actual picture quality. Though the pictures have great color, those taken with the flash are a bit too harsh. The quality just isn't as clean and professional as those taken with my Olympus Stylus Epic 80. But the preview feature is so convenient and easy to use that I am willing to lose a slight bit of quality. For those who are not willing, I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of this technology.

Summary: What a great concept!
Review: After reading all I could about this camera, I finally invested in one (hint--it's one hundred dollars less at... than it is anywhere else) about a month ago. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The freedom to choose how many prints you want without messing with reprint hassles is terrific! I have a 16 month old who is my main subject, and often I either get a great shot that I know EVERYONE will want a copy of, or he moves and I miss the moment. With this camera I know right away if I got a good one or if I need to try again. I took it to a Mardi Gras party this weekend and my friends loved seeing the pictures as the night progressed.

For my own stubborn reasons I am not into the digital camera thing...I like film, 1 hour photo shops, etc. This camera gives me a hybrid of technologies and I love it.

The camera is a little bulky compared to the Elph2 I traded for it. But the red-eye problem I had with the Elph is eliminated by this camera, probably due to the distance of the flash from the lens.

Check this camera out--I really am pleased with mine, both function and photo quality. Eckerd's equipment was able to read the encoded film with no problem. I especially recommend this camera to parents of small children--what a convenience!

Summary: Great Camera!
Review: Before purchasing this camera I was always disappointed when my photos came back from processing. If lucky, I would get one or two good shots from a roll or two of film with my Nikon cameras, which I also think are great--I just could not take good pictures. Now, 98% of my photos are great! Even when the picture doesn't seem really good when I preview the shot, once the film is developed, the photos are much better than I anticipated. I don't think you can go wrong with this camera if you are an amateur photographer and just want great photos for your personal memories. Also, very easy to use, but do ready instructions first.

Summary: make sure you know what exactly you're getting
Review: first things first, this is a kodak camera, with all the bells and whistles of their most advanced aps cameras on the market now, with one add-on: the window in the back. as a kodak aps camera it delievers some of the highest quality, truest-to-life shots available from a point-and-shoot type camera. ok, so what about the nifty little feature on the back? other reviewers have cited it as a "digital pretender," it is not so. the preview window is an exciting new feature that will soon be copied by many other camera manufacturers. if you belong to the group of people who prefer analog photos to digital ones (i won't list the pros and cons of these choices, but i will say that i prefer the analog), this camera will be fabulous for you; if you want digital, go get one of those. this camera gives you a chance to "see" the picture that you just took, pick which of the aps sizes you want *after* you take the picture, add a preprogrammed title to the back, and chose the number of prints you want. i say "see" because the digital picture on the back is actually taken through the viewfinder and modified with complex algorithms through a specially developed processor, and isn't *exactly* what you will get in the finished picture, but it's very close-more than adequate to be able to make judgments on aps type, number of prints and such. so, what do all of these options allow you to do? they allow you to save money. let's say you take this camera with you on a sightseeing trip to france. you no longer have to rely on fate to get that stunning picture of the arc de triomphe at sunset. the preview window lets you see almost exactly the picture you just took, and if you don't like it, you can take another. however, if you do like the picture you took, you won't have to take a "just in case" shot, since you know you already got it. furthermore, if you take a horrible picture, you don't have to pay for it to get processed now. perhaps most conveniently, you no longer have to order entire rolls of doubles, or go through and order reprints one by one: if 6 other people in your tour group would like a copy of your arc photo, you can simply tell the camera to tell your photo-finisher to make 7 copies. if after you take your arc photo you get someone to take one of you in front of the arc, you don't have to get another copy that no one else will want. for those of us who want an analog camera but lust over the convenience of digital this is by far the best option available as of now.

Review: Great pictures and features. with the preview and being able to pic how many copies u want before processing is great. Gone through 10 or so rolls of film thus far and no complaints.

Summary: What I've Been Looking For!
Review: I absolutely love this camera! I was considering a digital camera but wasn't impressed with the clarity of the pictures, and yet I really wanted to send pictures to family via e-mail. This camera gives me the best of both worlds and for a lot less money!
My husband and I have three children and I also am a licensed day care provider and I take a LOT of pictures on a weekly basis. Two of my day care parents are already considering buying this camera after seeing the pictures it takes, and how easy it is to handle.
Being able to see the picture after you take it is wonderful! If someone steps in front of you, you can tell right away and don't have to waste money getting a picture developed you know you don't want. On the other hand, the pictures that you see that you know Grandma and Grandpa are going to want a copy of, you order a few extras of just that picture!
I also do a lot of scrapbooking, and this camera is a life saver! When I have all three boys in a picture, I can get three of just that one for each of their scrap books.
I have gone through four rolls of film with this camera, and I haven't had one picture that had even a hint of red eye in it. I just can't say enough about this camera! I absolutely love it! I was crushed when my other camera "died" on me and I had to get a different one. I've gotten over it!

Summary: Great pictures and good features
Review: I am on my 6th roll of film with this camera and so far every picture has been very good or excellent. None have been out of focus and they have been taken in different lighting conditions with b&w 400 film, and color 200 and 400 speed film.

The preview feature is nice, but the image that is displayed is not that clear, (when comparing it to what a digital camera display looks like), but it serves its purpose.
The feature I readily use in conjunction with the preview is the ability to select the number of prints you want from each exposure. This works very well and is very easy.

I would have given 5 stars had the preview area been sharper. But I still recommend this camera as the features and picture quality met my expectations. I should add this is my second APS camera and this camera seems to take superior pictures to my other camera.

Summary: It's the best camera your money without getting a digital

The preview screen is so nice when taking pictures of kids who hate to pose! Now i can tell what my pictures are going to look like before develope time. It is so easy to use and fun to use! I am not ready for the digital world of cameras. I love my kodak preview camera!!!! Not bad for the price! Great pictures in every roll!

Summary: Great pictures and good features
Review: I bought this camera because of its unique Preview feature that is usually only available on digital cameras. The feature was indeed very useful, although the screen is not of the best quality and you can't see many details. But you get the idea of what your picture will look like. The rest of the features are standard on all APS cameras.

I didn't think that the quality of the pictures was very good. Some of them had a greenish tint to them, but they were in pretty good focus. One of the biggest reasons that I didn't keep this camera is that it's too bulky for this day and age. It's about double the size of the Canon Z3 APS camera, which has all of the features besides the preview.

So, buy this camera only if the size is not important to you, but the Preview is and you don't want to get a digital.
