Summary: For the JOY of it!
Review: I got this camera as a secret Santa gift last year and I love it. It's great for get togethers. It truly is instant fun! The cost of the film is a bit insane but when you factor in the lack of development fees and immediate satisfaction I manage to rationalize it. I have no complaints about the quality of pictures. They're not the best quality in the world but I am spending about [price]a picture- and that ain't that bad. The only complaint I really have is that on more than one occasion I have accidently hit the button and gotten a picture of the sky or driveway setting me off in a fit but that's about it.

Summary: New purchase, Polaroid I Zone instant combo
Review: I just purchaded a new Polaroid Instant Combo, which Ididn't see on your list of items, it is really neat. Digital for my computer on 1 side, and flip button back to instant small film shots on the other side. Have you seen this Combo?? Would like to get some feedback on this question.

Thanks, Sarah Siggins

Summary: very pleased with the Joycam
Review: I purchased this camera not too long ago and I must say I'm pretty pleased with it. The picture quality was much better than anyone told me to expect, it rivals if not beats its polaroid brothers and sisters in terms of quality. The pictures are fun to take at get-togethers and just hoarsing around, however the high cost of film caused me to rate this product at three stars. After the rebate, the film costs as much as the original camera! Overall it's stupidly simple to operate, drop in the film and go. It's as simple as that. The quality of the camera is a bit lacking, but who's complaining for the price it's at? Overall, it's a fun little toy to have at parties. I definitly recommend it to anyone looking for an instant camera.

Summary: Polaroid makes better choices
Review: In the last couple years Polaroid has introduced a raft of new products to position itself as a hip and affordable life-style accessory. These include the i-zone, PopShots, JoyCam and lately the Spectra FF. For 'bang for the buck', not one of these newcomers provide as much for as little as the old stand-by Polaroid One-Step. The JoyCam is a bit smaller than the OneStep, but dispenses with motorized print ejection and a lighten/darken control, and gives an image that is 1/3 smaller than the OneStep's. The 500 series film is a little less expensive per shot, but not a enough to justify losing so much image area. And since you can no longer adjust the camera to make lighter or darker images, the chance of getting disappointing shots - at about a buck a peice - is much greater. The JoyCam also gives up the ability to make close-ups between 2-4 feet, something the OneStep Close-up camera can do with the flick of a switch. Finally, the JoyCam makes rectangualr prints instead of the the OneStep's square images. Many people actually prefer this shape, but holding this oddly shaped camera steady while shooting vertical snapshots is going to be awkward at best. Do yourself a favor - for less than half the cost of a pack of film, get the OneStep instead.

Summary: this is awsome
Review: My daughter wanted the Polaroid I zone. After the reviews on Amazon about the I zone, I chose the Joycam. Great choice. Picture quality is excellent! Pictures compare favorably to my Polaroid Spectra. For indoor shot's, Watch out ,and make sure that when you want to take a picture, that you turn the flash on first ,or you will lose a shot. Fun camera ,great pictures ,great choice!! Thanks to all the Amazon customers that wrote reviews on the I zone , and saved me frustration!

Summary: Quicker than digital, more fun than i-Zone
Review: The Joycam is a great compromise between the technology of digital cameras and the simplicity of the Polaroid i-Zone camera (the one with the mini sticker pictures). I have all three, but the most versatile and the most fun at parties is definitely the Joycam, with its instant gratification and ease of use.

The pictures are of a decent size, and there's a bit of nostalgia in pulling out the picture and waiting for the picture to develop.

The quality isn't as good as a digital camera, and it's not as portable as the i-Zone, but the Joycam is a great addition to your bag of tricks for any get together.
