Summary: Polaroid "Joycam"
Review: Hi!... I rate this item 4 stars because i feel taht since this item has no customer review they must think it's very bad. I think that if you are the type of persont aht loses EVERYTHING then this is the thing for you. you can NOT lose this...it its impossible. it's bulkyness combined with it's insistant whining after taking a picture can remind you of it's place. thank you for reading!

Summary: Not complaining
Review: I got this camera the other day, about a half an hour before I was to go out with friends. In only about 3 minutes, I had already snapped off my first shot. The JoyCam is incredibly easy to use, however, it may be so easy that you'll accidentally set it off. I'm disappointed with its bulky body as it makes it a little hard to just slip it out of your backpack or purse, but its form may be actually advantageous for smaller hands and fingers. The picture quality is what I had expected for a Polaroid camera of the suggested price. I took shots of a building from a speeding car and still pictures close-up, and the quality remained consistant. The images came out pretty clear, although the color quality after using the flash leaves something to be desired. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase. Instant photographs are a novelty in itself, and the JoyCam makes it easy on your wallet.

Summary: Joycam- what fun!
Review: I just got a Joycam, and think it is great fun. Its a fairly big camera, but not at all compared to other polaroids. Its still small enough to take out with you anyhow. And If you've never had a polaroid (I haven't) its great fun to watch the photos developing too.

Summary: Its fun!
Review: I've had my JoyCam for a year now and its become a regular feature at parties. My friends love it and so do I. Now it doesn't replace having real photos which I still take...and you can't do anything fancy with it...but it is fun! Looking from the logical side - the camera itself is quite cheap and the film relatively expensive - about $... for 10 pictures. The camera is lightweight plastic, fairly large in size and not at all high tech.....but looking from a purely fun factor I love it! You get instant pictures at parties and I scan them and share them with friends the next day so we all have copies. The novelty value still hasn't worn off with my friends...perhaps we're just easy to please :-)

Summary: Most expensive bad photos EVER
Review: If I could rate this product with a zero I would. I purchased this item, with 11 rolls of film, for our wedding reception so guests could have someone take a snapshot of themselves and put in the guest book with their well-wishes, a great idea I have seen work wonderfully at other receptions. Except that I chose the joycam instead of the standard polaroid - BAD CHOICE! First of all the camera was difficult to operate and people had trouble with the film jamming, etc. Because the film had been taken out of the boxes to put out on the guest book table none of it is returnable - and byt he time we returned from our honeymoon and had any time to contend with the issue, the whole lot had been in our hands for more than 30 days thus unreturnable. Basically, don't ever buy this product, or any other product by polaroid that isn't it's basic one-step instamatic...just a huge waste of time and money and hugely dissapointing if you are planning to use it for a once in a lifetime event at which it breaks after just a few shots.

Summary: Polaroid makes better choices
Review: In the last couple years Polaroid has introduced a raft of new products to position itself as a hip and affordable life-style accessory. These include the i-zone, PopShots, JoyCam and lately the Spectra FF. For 'bang for the buck', not one of these newcomers provide as much for as little as the old stand-by Polaroid One-Step. The JoyCam is a bit smaller than the OneStep, but dispenses with motorized print ejection and a lighten/darken control, and gives an image that is 1/3 smaller than the OneStep's. The 500 series film is a little less expensive per shot, but not a enough to justify losing so much image area. And since you can no longer adjust the camera to make lighter or darker images, the chance of getting disappointing shots - at about a buck a peice - is much greater. The JoyCam also gives up the ability to make close-ups between 2-4 feet, something the OneStep Close-up camera can do with the flick of a switch. Finally, the JoyCam makes rectangualr prints instead of the the OneStep's square images. Many people actually prefer this shape, but holding this oddly shaped camera steady while shooting vertical snapshots is going to be awkward at best. Do yourself a favor - for less than half the cost of a pack of film, get the OneStep instead.

Summary: Buy a lot of film because half of the pics will underexpose
Review: Some pictures don't come out at all, some come out ok, and some have to of one person's face.

Summary: Not complaining
Review: This is my first Polaroid and suits me just fine, for a very good price. The pictures are smallish, about 2.5-3.0 inches by 2 inches. The quality is fair, fine for everday shots.
