The Grundig Ovation music system defies expectations, packing the power and audio performance of a full-size stereo into a compact 12-by-7-by-7.5-inch chassis. The Ovation's Magic Fidelity sound system features three active loudspeakers, including a built-in subwoofer, each with its own 80-watt amplifier. The speakers combine to blow the roof off the joint, delivering dynamic, full-range audio to CD, CD-R, and CD-RW formats. The system also includes a programmable equalizer (with dynamic bass boost) that adjusts to a listener's individual tastes, along with five preset equalizer settings. The front face of the system opens to expose the CD tray. Additional CD functions include an 8x oversampling digital filter, a 20-track memory, shuffle play, repeat, and intro scan. When closed, the system's multicolor LCD screen is the most notable feature, as it lets listeners choose from up to eight background colors--lilac, lavender, light blue, dark blue, green, yellow, orange, and red--to match your mood.
