Summary: Excellent
Review: I have had this printer for quite a while now. It prints unbelievable pictures that compare to the Kodak photo lab. After I am done taking my shots with my Olympus C-3030zoom camera I insert the smartmedia card directly into the printer, then I plug the printers video output into my television. This printer has some really neat editing features that can be used without your computer. Of course it works really well with my computer. All around it is a really excellent product. I have been impressing my neighbors, and family with this printer. I am getting ready to sell off my regular film eqipment. I just aquired an Olympus P400 digital printer, and all I can say is OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY.................................

Summary: Super photo quality but not very flexible...
Review: My friends are always commenting on the quality of the photos printed out on our Olympus photo printer. They really look like they came back from the photo shop. They are cosmically better than what you can get from your old inkjet, even if you print inkjet pictures on nice paper.

What's more, since you have an opportunity to photo-edit the pictures before you print, you can correct problems that the photo shop will never bother with: remove red eye, reframe, add labels, etc.

My biggest problem is the limited size of the paper. It will print out a photo at a maximum size of about 3.5 by 5. OK for a snapshot but not good enough for anything you'd want to set on your desk at the office. Also the paper is pretty expensive and relatively hard to find. Remember too that they are not as permanent as regular photos-don't set them down near something wet for example, and make sure you let them dry off a bit before you stack them together.

So if you don't need big pictures, you might find this a fine alternative. The photo quality is really excellent.
