Summary: Great for joggers or movers
Review: Bought this and love it! Doesn't skip like my previous cd walkman. Sounds great too! My teenage son uses it to walk to school and I use it at night for my jogging. I am considering buying another so my son will stop borrowing mine :)

Summary: Is it that good
Review: I bought this CD player, but I paid the full price. I thought the unique style and the price was pretty affordable. The anti- skip system is one of the best that I have ever used. The one problem that I can think of is that every time you turn it on you have to turn on the bass every time, which for me it gets pretty tireing doing this. Another thing is when you move the part of the ear plug, that plugs into the cd player its self, distubes the sound and sometimes makes it so you can only hear it in one ear. Over all though it is pretty good and if you have more money to spend try to get the better one, and buy it from Amazon it is a whole lot cheaper.

Summary: If this is the best, it is a very sorry field!
Review: I bought this item based on various recommendations online. When it arrived, I powered up, popped in a CD, and headed to the gym. About fifteen minutes into my workout, it began to use its 45 second Skip Protection. Figured I was a workout animal or some such, but just to be sure, I read the entire instruction manual to be sure that there wasn't some button I should have pushed.

No such luck. This baby is simply a turkey-- that fails to live up to expectations. After a few months, I gave up, tossed it in the trash (I might have been able to exert my warranty rights-- but this player was maddening. On and off, skip, play, work today but not tomorrow.)

I've since ordered another manufacturers player, and so far, the only problems I've had with it are those instances when the batteries run low. I've solved that one by carrying a spare set.
That I can recify. The erratic, on-today, off-later Aiwa is not for me.

Summary: Very Satisfied!
Review: I got this player as a gift for Christmas, and I have to say that I have been more than satisfied with the results. The skip protection is the best I have seen. I am a heavy jogger, and I didn't get one skip for 3.5 miles. I was impressed. I like the music loud also, amd it provides ample volume for me. I have had all burnt CDs play in it, even those burnt on 1st generation CD burners. The battery life is good and the design is very nice. Best portable CD player I have ever used!

Summary: First Impression...
Review: I got this today and my first impression is that it is cheeply
made. One feature/function that it does not have is the ability to program track in the order one desires. Is this or is this not one of the most basic features one should expect from a cd player? It is part of what enjoying cds/mp3s is all about.
As others have noted, the jack is noisy. It appears to be a minor problem. I am sending in my warranty card right away, though.

On the plus side, the sound is very good. I took a vigorous walk @ lunch and it appeared to be relatively skip free throughout.

Overall, it is not a bad basic sports cd player. If you absolutely need something in this price range that is water resistant, this might be up your alley. Otherwise, go with Panasonic, Phillips, or Sony...

Good luck!

Summary: good product, bad search
Review: I guess I should open the thing to actually review it, but I was looking for a sport RADIO and this was the "most popular item" for "sport radio" search. Should I have checked that it is also a radio? Of course. But I didn't. Should the search have found it as the best hit? Why on earth? Will I return it? Not sure yet.

Summary: Great Sound and Anti-Skip But.....
Review: I had the same problems like everyone else with the headphones having static. If the wire is moved around where it plugs into the player it has quite a bit of static. I tried the canned air, and it did not work. I returned it and the 2nd player did the same thing. I finally bought another one from a local retailer, and returned the defective one. It now finally works great, but 3 tries later! Anti-skip works great, still have not been able to make it skip. I still would recommend it!!

Summary: Does not work for long
Review: I have owned three of these, the first two the headphone jack was defective, would get alot of static when plugged in. The next one within the first two months two of the buttons popped out, and then just recently the hold feature on the player wont turn off so it will not play anymore. It is now useless only after three months. It appears to be a solidly built unit, but I guess looks can be deceiving. Other than that it had great sound.

Summary: Isnt 100% non skip but close enough
Review: I ordered this product for the second time being that I gave my first to a relative after using it for over a year. This is a great sports walkman because it in my opinion is one of the better brands as far as not skipping(Sony sportman is the overall best)compared to others ive used(5 different kinds in past 10 years). It is not perfect thought because it does have a tendency to skip once in great while but you gotta be really jumping up and down or running rather rapidly for it to do that. Overall any activity you do while using this walkman is not really interfered with. The sound quality is great and the hand strap is a great size for anyone to adjust to. I would recommend it over all the others even though it costs a bit more its a small price to pay for consistency, great sound, and overall enjoyment with less aggrevation from the constant skipping from other CD walkmans that claim to be Anti-skip.
