Summary: Great System!
Review: I compared the Sony DHC-MD555 to the other minidisc systems on Amazon.com and this one came out to be the best. It's more expensive but definitely worth it! I love being able to listen to 5 CDs or 5 MDs at a time. The best part is you can record off the radio. I recommend it!

Summary: a 5 MD CHANGER?---enough said!
Review: I just bought this system, and it totally rocks! I agree with other reviewers that the included Sony speakers produce poor sound quality. But once I hooked up a pair of Infinity RS-1s, the sound is amazing! Add a small subwoofer and it can only get better. The best reason to get this system is for the 5 MD changer. WOW! Very easy to use, and compliments my MD home deck and portable player. Get into MD now and stop using tapes. Much easier to use MDs than CD-Rs, as well.

Review: It's a nice box with sad speakers. They sound nice, butseriously, 25 watt per channel? That is pretty low. My computersystem puts out much and it was a $50 Cambridge Sub System mixed with Aiwa sats, $70, total. this thing is around 200 and gives the same sound. Go figure. If you want a small, office box, okay. If you want real sound (if you have the cash), buy this and then buy some real speakers to go with this awesome changer combo box. That would be a good deal. END

Summary: Complex but Competent
Review: Sounds great, works great. It's taken me about a week to get comfortable with all the controls and the remote, but I'm now able to use the system to do whatever I want in terms of recording and playback. Would ultimately have liked a second set of speaker jacks, but nothing is perfect. Throw away those cassettes! MiniDisc is definitely the future of recordable, portable audio.

Summary: Best Hi-Fi with MiniDisc !
Review: The sound is simply the best you can get. And the convience is really worth the price.
