When Tamron made the AF28-200mm f3.8-m5.6 Super II macro lens, it had the shortest minimum focusing distance in its class. At just over three inches, and weighing only 16.6 ounces, it gives you high-quality images in a very compact body. This is due in part to the two hybrid aspherical elements and a large LD (low dispersion) element built into the lens optics. Also contributing to the high image quality is the Integrated Focus Cam that optimizes the internal focusing mechanism. This system works to reduce the minimum focusing distance while boosting the overall optical performance. This model is dedicated to Nikon AF SLR cameras.
