Review: i think this fun is good for occasional use or for people who dont want contracts this fun has differnt lcd screen colors which is cool (i wish it was color) i didnt like the slider so i got this it has like a couple ringtone and if you want to buy more their 2 bucks each the little rubber piece that goes in is not attacheed and is easy to lose they say you can go on the internet but really it is just a menu where you can read their so called reveiws which are .10 cents each and their not reveiws the its a 2 sentence thing that says nothing close to a reveiw

Summary: 1st time Cell customer
Review: I decided on a pre-paid phone as I didn't want to be locked into ANY contracts. Of the pre-paid phone plans Virgin Mobile was the best. It has a better customer service and a web site than the rest and is overall less expensive. I wanted the Audiovox as it is the smallest phone and it will fit in the coin front jeans pocket with no problem AND this phone has many nice features. I bought this phone for my convenience and do not give the number out and screen all incoming calls. It's cheaper than the ATT calling card I was using to charge calls to my home number so .25¢ a minute for the first 10 minutes and 10¢ for the rest is not so bad. You only have to add $20 every 90 days. I have had this phone for 2 months and have only used about $15 so far. I wanted something for emergencies and occasional use and this was the best for that purpose.

Summary: Fun phone
Review: This phone is really good for teenagers. I have recently purchased this phone. It cost too much money for the minutes to talk to I mainly just text message [i am sorry of .25 a minute is too much]. It has bad reception but it's good for text messaging. It's also cute and very very very brag worthy. People just love playing with it. But my friends all have the same phone, and one day when one of them opened it, the screen didn't work. He didn't even drop it or anything, it just didn't work. The next day my other friends Key Pad stopped working. I must say I am terrified that I will have wasted 120 dollars on a phone that has a life span of 3 weeks. But I do love it, it's compact, fun, cute, and perfect for teenagers. PLUS THE RINGTONES ARE AWSOME

Summary: Ok phone, aweful service
Review: I recently moved to the US. Back at home I use a prepaid system, which works for me coz there we only pay for outgoing calls. But when I get charged for incoming calls also, prepaid gets ridiculously expensive! I payed over $50 on a week's worth of phone calls (most incoming) when my apartment phone wasn't working! Most of my calls wouln't come in, and half that did would brake in the middle of the conversation. Also, I could hardly place any calls. The concept is great on paper, but in practice it didn't work at all for me. Oh, mind you, I'm a first-year student in a University, so most of my friends only call from/to a cell phone, so even though I had my apartment phone, I received most of my calls on my cell phone.

The XTras are really cool, but pricey. The service is obviously aimed to a consumerist, young market. But even being a 19-year-old, MTV follower, not-for-long teenager, I was not willing to spend my money on them (enough with what I waisted on bogus connection).

The phone was kinda OK. It's really compact, which was one of the most important features for me when I bought it, since Rave and Model (or whatever) are too bulcky to carry in your pocket (the slider wasn't available yet). The seven different back-LED colors is also nice (OK, I was kinda consumerist in that sense). The dual display was a wonderful feature (I owned two different Nokias before, so I'm used to open faced phones, so being able to get my info without opening the pohne was a big plus). The keyboeard layout is kinda bogus, I would keep on hitting the wrong key and would end up typing in a contact 20 times before I would save it coz I would accidentaly erase it (but then again, put an ULTRA-compact phone in the hands of a 6'2'' guy and you can't expect anything else). The system was nice for me, I liked it, but after using a Nokia 5110 for a year and a Nokia 3310 for a year an a half, I missed the user-friendly, fool-proof Nokia system (although the VOX has a nice menu system). But in short, people would awe in marvel when they saw such a nice and compact phone, and if that's what you are looking for, the VOX is the one for you.

After praising the phone (well, somewhat), I have to go back into trashing the service. I was so glad I got insurance on the phone, so I returned it on the account that I could never place or receive a call without problems. I switched to a real plan with real minutes, cancelled my land line service and ended up paying much less for my communication services! I'm planning on buying a Slider, but as a gift for my brother, and I'll take it home so he can use it with a real service provider (I want to stress that the phone wasn't as bad as the service).

Summary: Good Phone, Awful Customer Service
Review: I have been using this phone in the Seattle area for about two months. The phone is full of features, relatively intuitive to use and has worked well. I've not had problems with reception.

Be warned, though, that Virgin Mobile customer service is among the worst I've ever experienced. I attempted to buy new ring tones from the Virgin Mobile website about 6 weeks ago. After 3 conversations with customer service, I still am unable to download the tones. The first two times I was given wrong information about the problem and when it would be fixed; the last time I called, the associate told me that the problem was network wide, she didn't know when it would be fixed and could not notify me when it was fixed. This experience has left me with the impression that the company is immature, both in how it treats its customers and in its technology.

The target audience for the service is the teenager crowd, so their website and phone support will seem obnoxiously trendy to anyone over 30.

Summary: Great Phone...without a plan.
Review: This particualar phone is exquisite! It comes with many different and unique options and features. This phone (AudioVox 8500) is great. It is without a plan ,you basically make your own plan by paying $20.00 every 90 days(3 months). Talk about a deal. When I saw this phone I knew it was the one for me! It's small, light weight, and it works oh so well!!! So get the AudioVox 8500...make this phone the one for you also!

Review: I recieved this flip phone for Christmas 2004, and so far I love it. The battery life is excellent. Before I had this phone, I had the Nokia 5125 Tracfone, and it was a brick... the only thing I used it for was calling and my alarm, and I don't miss it at all. With the VOX, I have a calander, alarm, MTV!!!, Backlight colors, 2 way text messaging, 2 way speaker phone, polyphonic ringtones, and a lot other things also. Howhever, I found out there is a way to download Screen Savers off the net for free or for a price that comes straight off the account for your phone, but I dont know how... so if there is anybody who owns one of these phones, please email me and help me out... chopperfreakOCC@netscape.net, Thanx

Summary: Great Phone! Great Service!
Review: I purchased the Virgin Mobile Party Animal phone a while back and thought it was pretty cool, but just recently I upgraded to the VOX phone and I love it!

Virgin Mobile's customer service is perfect. I called 3 times since I got my first phone and every single time I have called there hasnt been a long time on hold (about 5 minutes) and then your connected to a friendly virgin mobile person. They will walk you through any problem and stay with you as long as you need. Virgin Mobile's customer service is excellent and unmatched.

Some things I have seen people say that are incorrect:
1) The ringtones are not messed up. The first 4 are junky and annoying loops that can make anyone go crazy. Thre is a 5th ringtone the phone comes loaded with that is good. It is an actual polyphonic ringtone of the virgin mobile theme and its not bad.

2) Boring phone? There is a lot to do and how can a phone just be boring? Its a phone! Your not purchasing a PDA, Laptop, or a Camera! This phone has a lot of features to keep you occupied and a phone is not meant to be an entertainment device.

3) I heard someone saying they wish there was a red backlight and there is. You just can't use the red backlight because it is set aside for Virgin Alerts. If your account balance becomes low or something and the backlighting is off, it will become red.

4) Don't like the customer service? Nobody has said a specific reason why. Virgin Mobile has to target teenagers because nowadays every teenager has a cell phone and its a good way to make money.

I think this phone is great. It is compact and nice. Virgin Mobile did a great job and I prefer this phone to the slider because it is easier to navigate and use. Without using 1 main screen, you don't have to worry about the only screen you have getting scratched.

For anyone looking into purchasing a phone just for emergencies or something like that, this is perfect because it has a built in GPS for 911 emergencies. The GPS is exactly like the way your home phone probably uses. Emergencies can see where you are and what number you are calling from. So if you just want a phone to sit in the car waiting for an emergency, dont buy a lower model phone.

Buy this phone! You won't regret it.

Review: this phone is great....BUT virgin mobile is VERY bad and very expensive......it is 25 cents for the first 10 minutes then 10 cents a minute after that. so everyday that u talk 10 minutes u are automatically spending $2.50 NOT including the 10 cents a minute that you will talk after that. SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!!
