Summary: TDMA network only
Review: .
The Motorola 120t won't work everywhere in

the USA, however the 120c model (available

from Amazon) will - because it's a CDMA.

Also the Nokia 5180i is a cheaper CDMA

(but heavier). Both phones are Tri-Mode.

The phone come with 10 free units (20 if

you activate on line). You can also receive

100 free units by E-mail from Tracfone if

you *activate* your phone after a friend

(who already has her Tracfone) refers you

(she also receives 100 minutes). 120 units

out of the box is a good deal. If you don't

know anybody you can E-mail me, I'll make

sure you receive the $30.00 Tracfone deal.

My E-mail : second_tracfone@lycos.com

You can add units at Amazon or Tracfone.

One minute will take one unit if you phone

from your area map and two units if you

phone out of it (roaming) however local or

long distance are the same rate. If you want

to move, you can change your area code or

phone number (maximum four times a year)

by calling Tracfone. I'm in a digital area so

the sound is great, however I'm *not* in an

area with text messaging available. You can

set up your voice mail by calling your 120t

from another phone (save your units) and by

using # to set your code and voice greeting.

The phone always show the units expiration

(no need to log on). Calls less than fifteen

seconds won't be charged. The activation is

easy but very long, you need to be on line

entering many codes on your phone. The

keypad and faceplate are hard to change.

Summary: This phone is perfect for me!
Review: I bought the Tracphone Motorola 120 phone from Sams Club a month ago and let me tell you this is definitely the way to go. I was moving from Wisconsin to Texas and needed a phone so I could keep in contact. I activated the phone in WI and in 15 minutes had an active TX area phone number. Then, while traveling I always had a good signal with no roaming the entire time! The reception was always excellent.

For $70 I got a brand new phone with 1-year activation and 120 minutes (10 minutes included + 10 additional minutes for online activation + 100 minute because of a email referral by a friend)! Also, the other thing I love is that phone displays the number of minutes left. It also includes voice mail, call waiting, caller ID. You can setup and access your voicemail from a regular phone and never use prepaid minutes. If you work it right you can get the cost down to 10 cents a minute and they always rollover as long as you're active. More importantly it's great for people like me who won't talk more then 60 min/month.

As far as the customer service, I've had no problems and can't relate to some of the bad reviews I've read. If you need a 100-minute referral please email me at cgcoleby@yahoo.com

Review: I purchased a tracfone and a one year contract(150 minutes).About a week later my phone wpild not work. After several contacts with people who did not understand my language(english),each of them asking me to try the phone in Forty eight hours and try the phone again and it never worked .I lost the 150 minutes and have not been able to get the phone operating yet.All of my contacts lacked the ability to understand me. there seems to be no way to speak to an english speaking person and this problem has been going on for about five weeks.I can call my home phone which is two feet away from me and it only costs $2.99 for each call.NOT QUITE A BARGAIN,I would say.Wish me luck ,or send me a solution if there is one.A phone number to reach management might help. They won't respond to my last three emails. I think a chaplain may be the answer,Do you??

Summary: Pleased So Far
Review: I recently acquired the Motorola V120t tracfone. This is my first experience with any cell phone and I have been very pleased so far. I wanted a phone mostly for emergency use and did not require very many minutes. This has been the best deal I could find. The phone has alot of features for the money. I especially like that my remaining airtime is always viewable on the lcd screen and that it tells me the date I need to purchase more minutes to keep my phone active. I can have this phone and keep it activated for as little as $10.00 a month, possibly less with the larger airtime card purchases. I have dealt with customer service to activate my phone and did not have any problems with understanding the CSR or any hold time. All in all this is a great deal for someone needing a phone for emergency use, travel, etc. They have a wonderful deal going on now that can get you 100 free minutes if you are referred by a friend to get a new phone. If you do not know anyone that has a tracfone I would be glad to refer you, just send an email to me at jsparv1@peoplepc.com and request to be referred. I hope this has been helpful.

Summary: It's Okay of a phone
Review: I've had my phone for close to a year. I don't care for the fact that when you talk to someone it sounds like a walkie talkie. The other person gets cut out when you start to talk. I had a flat tire and I called home and I kept getting cut out and I was in front of a telephone pole outside of my car. I like the size of the phone but I plan on buying me a Nokia phone because I had really good luck with it. I only bought this phone because it was digital and the Nokia was Analog.

Summary: Good Inexpensive Ceell Service
Review: I've had my tracfone for over a year. Good signal evrywhere I travel (Verizon Towers). I end up paying only about $9 a month. This saves me over $20 a month from my previous Sprint plan. You can get 100 free minutes from referal for new customers and there are usually promos for other bonus minutes with card purchases. E-mail me for referal or more info at krisjny@hotmail.com . I like the one year service for convenience.

Summary: Tracfone
Review: Never buy a phone from Tracfone. The activation website crashes and then they turn off the customer service line. You get a recording saying try back at a later time. I tried for 2 hours after purchasinbg my Motorola Tracfone and was unable to get any help or service at all. They took my money but would not provide the product! I'll return this worthless product ASAP.
