Summary: The phone DOES connect to the Internet
Review: The cable does work as described; the issue is not with the cable, it is with the phone itself. AT&T shipped the R289LX with the modem features disabled so that the end user could not access the internet over the phone in "tethered" mode.

Summary: Bad Description
Review: The product is fine, the problem is the feature description does not match what the product is. I was mislead because of product description. It is NOT used to connect to anything, except to sync the cell-phone's phonebook. Also, the product does not work with ALL Ericcson phones as described in the features.

Summary: This device is NOT described correctly.
Review: Totally agree with the writer from Glendale. Don't buy this cable if you expect that you can remotely connect to the internet using your cell phone and notebook computer.
