The Audiovox 1222 2-way radio is solid 2-way radio that won't set you back a month's pay. It has the essential features you expect in a GMRS 2-way: a five mile range, hands free capability, twenty-two channels (each with thirty-eight privacy sub-channels), a detachable swivel carry clip, a backlit LCD screen, scan button, and full electronic channel and volume controls. You receive two radios so you and your communicating partner are ready to go. The radios run on either alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries (alkaline batteries will give you fourteen to thirty hours of service.) This is a simple, compact radio.
