Summary: Target Customer
Review: I had to take the phone back. No matter what channel it was on, I got to much static. It was a 5.8GHz and I couldn't even go to the bedroom without having to change to another phone. I won't buy Uniden again, I will stay with AT&T. That is what I get for going cheap.

Summary: Clicking sound
Review: I just got the phone for my wedding shower from my registry and the first day I used it there was this loud clicking sound. I could hardly hear through it. It was terrible.

Summary: Horrible static
Review: I just got this phone for Christmas 2004 and thought it would be great but it is the worst phone that I have ever used. There should be a no star category as it it worthless. The static is horrible anywhere other than the room the base is in- better off using a phone with a long cord. It was supposed to be replacing another cordless phone 5 years old that was located in the same place (and had great reception everywhere in the house) as the old digital menu/caller id screen was no longer working. If you buy this phone after reading this review, you deserve what you get - a trip back to return it!

Summary: Iniden 5.8 GHZ Cordless Phone
Review: I just received this phone for Christmas (2004) and I will be returning it. This is the worst cordless phone I have ever had, you can not even go into another room, the static is unbelievable! This phone replaced a 900MH GE that I have had for 5 years, I will be looking for another.

Summary: WHAT'S THAT CLICKING NOISE
Review: I PURCHASED THIS PHONE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. I NORMALLY USE THIS PHONE IN MY BEDROOM BUT I WALKED AROUND MY HOUSE YESTERDAY WITH IT AND IT MADE THIS CLICKING NOISE IN THE BACKGROUND.BUT ONCE I RETURNED TO MY BEDROOM TH CLICKING STOPPED. I LOOKED IN THE MANUAL TO SEE IF THERE WAS A QUICK FIX FOR IT AND IT WASN'T. I THOUGHT THE PURPOSE OF A CORDLESS PHONE WAS TO BE ABLE TO WALK AROUND WITH IT. THE PHONE THE UNIDEN REPLACED WAS AT&T PHONE (HAD IT ALMOST 5 YEARS) BUT THE CALLER ID WAS GOING OUT ON IT, AND I THOUGHT WITH ALL THESE FUNCTIONS IT WAS A GOOD PRICE (39.99). I THINK IF I DON'T FIGURE OUT WHAT HE CLICKING IS BY THE END OF THE WEEK I WILL BE RETURNING THIS BACK TO TARGET.

Summary: Solid Choice
Review: I purchased this phone based on Consumer's Reports "Best Buy" Rating. Static has not been much of a problem. It was easy to set up and program. Only disappointment-- it does not have a speaker phone function.

Summary: Be careful and read every feature offered
Review: I purchased this phone on May 23, 2004. It was shipped on May 27, 2004. When I received this item it was not what I expected. I am partially deaf and the the phone only had a choice of low and high for volume. Could not hear the ringer well enough, did not offer enough features for the money compared to other phones on the market, and background was too dark on the settings for the caller ID (too hard to read). I usually buy Uniden products and love them but this item was an acception. I returned this item after getting a printout for shipping via a terminal in a Target store. The label was printed on that new paper all of the stores are using nowadays so when I returned the item the only address left showing after going through USPS was my return address (theirs faded in the heat), so of course it was delivered back to my address. I have again attempted to ship this item after receiving a new shipping label from Target(took four days to get to me). I shipped it on June 25, 2004 and am again waiting for a refund to my Target card or instore credit, I don't care at this point. The moral is be sure what you order is exactly what you want because it takes FOREVER to get an item returned after being ordered online and get a refund, and cannot be returned to a store. If it is ordered online it has to refunded online. If all of the features you are looking for are not listed online do not purchase it. Don't assume because of modern technology that certain features are pretty much standard these days.

Summary: Totally Unusable
Review: This phone gave me nothing but trouble. I couldn't get a dial tone most of the time, when I did it had an annoying clicking noise. Caller ID never worked until after the phone answered. I returned this product back to the store and decided to just stick with my old phone.
