Summary: I've had a pair for years, loved them, they're like new.
Review: I highly recommend these headphones. I guess some people get the lemons, but that hasn't been my experience with these. I've recommended them to students for years and have never heard a complaint. Musicians love them. The sound is really excellent! You'll hear your favorite music like you've never heard it before.

Summary: unsatisfied customer
Review: I purchased one pair and within two days they fell apart. They were replaced by the company where puchased (amazon) and the same exact thing happened again. --This text refers to an alternate option.

Summary: Caution!
Review: I was looking for a pair of high end headphones that I could wear during my day at work. Obviously, the main requirement was to keep all the music to myself. These headphones have great sound, HOWEVER it has speakers on the outside too! These speakers are not terribly loud on the outside, but are definitely not fit for situations in which you don't want others to be disturbed by your music. I didn't see any mention of this in the specifications, so you should definitely take this into account before you make a purchase. --This text refers to an alternate option.

Summary: Hmm...great for my audio
Review: I'm very sad about other people having various problems with these headphones. My Koss headphones sound great. There is a lot of bass and treble so it sounds like you have expensive headphones when you really don't. The design is comfortable at first, then after a little while of wearing, it does somewhat get irritating. I don't have these anymore because my friend broke them by pulling on the cord really hard on purpose. He also said they have good sound (though I have no idea why he broke them). Though, for the price, sound, and design, it's a great value, that is when they work.

Summary: you can do better
Review: Poor performance for the price. Not much of a range, very little base, and the right speaker crackled at higher volume! What a stinker!

Summary: Nice sound; flimsy construction; poor customer service
Review: The A250 phones provide pleasant sound quality, but I regret to report that their construction can be flimsy and Koss customer service seems to be nonexistent. I had gotten 15 and 20 years of flawless service from my previous two sets of earphones before I purchased the A250 phones. Within two months of gentle usage listening to chamber music at modest levels, an intermittent contact developed in the stereo jack. After two email inquiries to Koss did not elicit a response, I installed a new connector myself. A spring clip mount for one earphone self-destructed two months later, and a small metal part within the clip disappeared into my carpeting. I had to remount the earphone to the headband using a nut and bolt. Caveat emptor!
