Summary: Amazing what you can get for less than $8!!!
Review: I was looking for a headset for my Polycom and Siemens phones but did not want to spend $80 - $100 + on one. I saw this one at Staples office supply but they were asking nearly $20 for it so I decided to check out Amazon and see what everyone thought.

When I say Amazon was selling it for less than $8 for the same thing Staples was selling for nearly $20, I figured I had nothing to loose.

I bought it and have been absolutely pleased with it. I have had no problems, and have had no complaints from any friends that they have any problems hearing me. It is a very comfortable phone with about a 3 foot long cord (wish they had made it a bit longer).

With no sound problems either receiving or transmitting, I have to give this headset a full 5 stars and highly recommend it for anyone looking for an inexpensive but good headset!!!

Summary: Worked great right out of the box
Review: I was on my way back from the mail room where I picked up the package containing the headset when I received a phone call on my cell phone. Since my hands were full at the time I sat down for a sec, opened the package and pluged the thing in. It only took a few seconds to plug it in and position it on my ear correctly.
I was surprised at how well it worked right out of the box. The microphone is just as good as the one on my cell phone and it does cut down on backround noise. It can also go on either ear and it's easy to switch ears even while you are talking.
The only bad thing is that when it gets noisy you might have to push it up against your ear to hear better but that's probably the same with any headset.

Summary: They can't hear me
Review: I was very disappointed with this product.

As one other reviewer said the stem is too short. So others can hardly hear me. Obviously, if they can hardly hear me then what good is the product? For instance, ever try getting a flight itinerary straight when the other person can hardly hear you? (And I'm short myself, so it's definitely not a matter of my having oversized head/mouth dimensions.)

But, even when I took off the headset and held the mike right near my mouth and at other positions the sound was described as muffled and somewhat low, though without background noise.

I also found the headset somewhat uncomfortable and difficult to put on at the moment. I don't have a need to wear one all the time, but just for certain calls. I often found myself fumbling to get it on. I think I'll try an over-the-head model next.

Summary: Good Deal
Review: I was very hesitant about this headset as it was only 10 bucks but I have had great luck with it. I can hear well and the people I am talking to say I come across very clearly as well. I think it is a good deal and a good product. I love being productive and being able to talk on the phone at the same time.

Summary: Caveat to Nokia Users
Review: I'm very pleased with this mini headset for the price. Although the construction is somewhat flimsy, it is lightweight and does not make your ear lobe ache after wearing it for a lengthy time. It has certainly increased the safety of my driving when talking on a cell phone. The quality of the earphone reception and microphone transmission is as good or better than the cell phone itself.

My one disappointment is that the 2.5 mm plug provided will not fit Nokia 5100/6100 Series phones. An adapter is available through Plantonics (Model WTA-NK610) to link this headset with the cell phone. ... So instead of purchasing two headsets for under ..., it ended up costing me over ... for the two by the time the adapters were found and purchased. If you own a Nokia cell phone, it may be cheaper overall to purchase a more expensive headset with a plug that already fits the phone.

Summary: The ONLY headset that I want to use
Review: I've had this headset that came with an inexpensive and long lasting 900 mhz cordless phone that I bought about three years ago. I've used the headset constantly for over two of those 3 years and I LOVE IT. I'm buying a replacement because wear and tear over time has broken the plastic covering at the earpiece and also at the end cord. I've put off buying another headset because I don't like the in the ear models, so I am very happy to see that this headset is available all by itself. Definitely the best bang for the buck you can get.

Summary: Best sound, easiest for quick answering
Review: I've tried several headsets over the last year and this is definitely the best (and least expensive!). It's very fast to answer the phone by placing the ear piece over your ear rather than fumbling with putting a piece into your ear. I've tested it with friends and it's the clearest for them too. My only wish is that it had a mute button.

Summary: Excellent value. But there are better alternatives
Review: If this is your first headset or you don't plan to have heavyuse, this is as good as it gets. ...the sound quality is goodand it is relatively comfortable. However, if you are going to spend time with this, the Plantronics M175 by far worth the additional expense. Much more invisible from the stand point of the user (you completely forget its on your head) and the listener on the other end. I have them both and switch to the Plantronics unit when I know it is going to be a long call or I going to be moving about.

Summary: It may NOT work on other devices
Review: It's designed for AT&T and Lucent cordless phones. But it also works great on VTech and other phones. However, it is NOT working on Motorola FR50 two-way radio, even they are using the same 2.5mm jacks. FR50 uses reversed connectors for mic and speaker, so this headset simply won't work, unless you want to modify it or use a converter. How do I know this? I just ordered two of them and wished I could use them on my FR50 radios.

Also, all computer's sound cards I've seen are using 3.5mm jacks, and they have seperate mic jack and (stereo) speaker jack. I just cannot see how it can fit in computers.
