Summary: Do not buy!
Review: I bought this phone so that I would have a desk speakerphone with an independent cordless handset as well. Handset will not allow you to go mopre than 20 feet before static takes over (other 900 Mhz and 2.4 GHz phones do fine and I've tried in 2 houses), and now handset has started to fail altogether - buttons fail. It has turned into a speakerphone. Just bought AT&T 2230 which appear to be great so far to add needed cordless handsets.

Summary: Excellent product.
Review: I bought this phone three years ago. I have used it every day since. It's construction is sturdy and it provides consistently reliable service. I do not carry the hand set more than 50 feet from the base, so I have seldom experienced static. I like the hand set because it is more like a full size desk phone. Thus it is comfortable to hold between the shoulder and ear while writing notes, etc. It has a headset jack if the user chooses to use one. The number pads on the handset and base are a bit larger than those on the smaller phones so common today. This should make it easier for older or handicapped users to read and access the dial function. There are volume controls for both the handset and the base speaker phone. After three years of use the battery in my phone is still the original. I am pleased with this model 26936GE2.

Summary: Good phone, short life
Review: I'm with Kevin ... it is just over a year that I have had this phone and the handset has faded into uselessness over the last month - guess when the warranty ran out - planned obsolescence or circumstance?? I really liked the "chain dialing" feature since I make alot of calls with a calling card and the phone was generally clear, although I often got the comment from the people at the other end of the line that I sounded distant or was hard to hear. The handsfree and memory dialing were very good and I used a headset off of the handset regularly. I thought the phone was reliable ... until the meltdown. I thought I was getting a long-term product, not a one-year disposable.
