Summary: Lots of features for the low price
Review: For such a low price (less than 1/2 of similarly equipped phones), I've been very happy with my purchase. I use a headset (purchased separately) with if often - no problems thus far. The display is easy to read (scrolling through missed calls is handy as is the auto dial feature that redials the missed call) and I like seeing the red light when the phone rings...makes it easier to find! I've had no reception problems that weren't solved by simply changing the channel. All in all, I'm quite pleased with it and just bought it again (as a gift).

Summary: Not for the vison impaired
Review: My husband bought this phone (GE27930) a couple weeks ago to replace our very expensive Sprint cordless that just died one day. I was very excited when I first opened it and my teenage daughter thought it was SO cool the way it lights up when it rings. It is a very good looking phone. However...the "backlit" display is irritating to read. The light comes from the left side primarily and it makes it hard to read unless you have a light behind you. Also the display seems very small and hard to read. The worst thing about the phone is that sometimes the phone will ring yet the display will show nothing. I'm not sure why it does this but it is very irritating. When you are used to a Mercedes it is hard to go back to driving a Pinto I guess. For the price the phone is not bad. Just be ready to squint.

Summary: Great phone for the price
Review: This has been (after one month) a great phone ... It's clear, has good range, and the memory and caller id are easy to use. My only gripe is that there's no way to tell if your line is active by looking at the phone. This is important to me since I have to use a dial-up internet connection. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

Summary: won't last
Review: This phone was decent for about 10-12 months, then it started having all sorts of problems and now I'm looking for a new phone. It gets 2 stars b/c I really did like the features. Good display, decent looking. A bit bulky, but well placed buttons. They just need to work on the quality, I can't afford to buy a new phone every year.

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE
Review: yes, blue phones are sexy. but the number pad on this phone is clearly defective. i have owned two of these phones. when the number pad stopped working the first time i assumed it was my fault and replaced it with a new one. but now the second one is doing the same thing. thomsons, which handles warranty claims for these phones, claims that the keypad is not covered by the warranty. they were not interested in the fact that the same problem has happened to me twice now.

if you buy this phone you will just be adding it to your local landfill within a year. customer service at GE/Thomsons is completely lacking in integrity. the company does not care that it's phones will break, offers no avenue to escalate customer compalints and is only concerned with moving on to their next "customer" call.
