Summary: Not bad, but not great
Review: After first purchasing this phone, I thought I really liked it. It seemed very will made, and I liked the way it felt. I bought this phone specifically because I have a wireless LAN that uses the 2.4 Ghz band, and I read a review on another website that said this phone was 5.8 Ghz both to and from the handset. However, I found out from a Motorola salesperson that it actually transmits to the handset at 5.8 Ghz and back to the base at 2.4 Ghz. This didn't bother me too much, and it didn't cause any interference with my wireless router. My one complaint was that the volume of the earpiece on the handset was very low, even at the highest setting, and I had to often ask people to speak up. I was still somewhat satisfied, but after using the phone for about a week, it developed a very loud buzz that was audible on both the base and the handset. It was loud enough that it interfered with conversations on the handset and on the speakerphone. I tested the line with several other older phones, and the line was fine, so back to the store this phone went. I would have exchanged it for another identical phone, but the low earpiece volume made me decide to exchange it for a Panasonic phone, which I'm much, much happier with in every way.
