Summary: Great Value!!!
Review: ..., these headphones are a great value. For [the money], these headphones can turn a long flight into a more enjoyable one. I tried these out on a couple of flights and boy was I impressed. I am one who can appreciate good sound. The noise cancellation was about 85% effective which is good considering I am on an airplane. Works really well with widebody aircraft entertainment systems (i.e. Boeing's 777/767). If buying for other than travelling, I recommend another type of headphone. Last but not least...comfortable. More comfortable than the Aiwa HPCN5. Enjoy!!

Summary: You don't always get what you pay for.
Review: ...

They didn't cancel out as much noise as the cheaper ones, and the sound quality from the headphones was much worse than that of any other ones I've tried. They cut out nearly all the high pitches from the music/DVD I listened to while trying them out.

The only good thing I can say about these is that they were fairly comfortable, and I like that the battery was actually in the headphones and not in the cord.

Regardless, I plan on returning the pair I purchased and buying something else.

Summary: Good for the price
Review: Drawbacks:
They can get uncomfortable after long periods of time.
The single battery doesn't last too long, mine last about 2 weeks of occasional use.

Advantages:
The noise canceling actually works fairly well. I assume more expensive headphones actually work better, though.
Since there is only a single battery, they are relatively light.

if you expect to use them only occasionally, these are definitely worth the price (about $23 as of this writing).
If you plan on extended use in a fan-filled environment, find something more expensive, you'll be glad you had.

Summary: The truth about sound cancellation
Review: First of all this review aplies to all headphones (over-the-head, on or over your ear headphones) that "actively" cancell noise i.e. w/ electronics. They are only made to reduce certain frequencies, talking isn't among them, however, things like airplane roar, computer noises (hisses and such) and reduced. This aplies even to extremely expensive headphones like the Bose Quiet Comfort (250-299 depending on new or old version) which act the same way. This explanation also helps in figuring out a reason why some people report NO cancelling (probably using them w/ wrong frequencies) why some say they're wonderful, most who say that talk about airplane roar being reduced, the thing their meant to do. I hope this clears up some of the mystery about active noise cancellation headphones

Summary: Bang for the buck
Review: I am a frequent flier, flying once a week or more. I bought a 256MB flash card for my pocketPC to listen to recorded lectures from the MBA I'm pursuing. I wasn't able to clearly hear them on the plane with the cheap headphones that I had. So, I thought I'd try these, figuring I'd return them if they didn't work as advertised.

The noise cancellation works great for the money and I'm keeping them. I can clearly hear the lectures now when I turn the noise cancelling on. However, don't try to turn it on anywhere other than a plane. They seem to only produce an annoying hiss when you try to use the noise cancellation anywhere else.

I'll probably still ask for the Bose for Christmas, though. I tried on the Bose and they feel lighter and more comfortable. i would guess that the noise cancellation is better as well.

Summary: A disappointing product
Review: I bought these hoping that they would help me work in a room with a TV playing by listening to music. They were totally ineffective. The noise canceling feature was JUST noticeable i.e. there was a barely detectable difference between ON and OFF. But the frequency response was poor - almost no upper register which made listening to music hardly bearable even with TV off. I returned them for credit,

Summary: It doesn't work!
Review: I installed the battery, turned it on, the red light came on and everything, but it doesn't do squat. I even had 3 friends try it to see if they could tell any difference, but other than a slight hiss when they're on, I can't tell any difference between on and off.
As for sound quality, I tried them plugged in to a cd player and the sound was acceptable, enough bass, but the treble was lacking.
I am going to return mine.

Summary: Pathetic non-existent performance
Review: I just bought this pair of headphones with high hopes that it would actually perform what it promises: Noise-Cancellation. There was a 2% difference of noise reduction when the unit was turned to it's ON position. And unbelievably enough, that's not even an exaggeration. The only difference from the On and Off position is that when you turn it On, you'll hear a slight "hiss" and your music's volume will increase a little. Other than that, it's just the same turned off or on. The only positive thing I can say about the headphones are that it's cheap, and that when you wear the headphones (off OR on position), they do help in muffling any sound that is around you. So save your AAA battery and don't even use the noise cancellation feature (if you can even give it the credit of being called a "feature"). I just bought these headphones today, and I'm returning them first thing tomorrow. They make me wanna throw up just looking at them =|. hahha, j/k...but they do really make me sick.

Summary: Great headphones for the cost
Review: I've used these headphones for many months and like them a lot. I have an MP3 player that needs a boost, as well as my laptop. These headphones provide that volume increase so I can leave my boostaroo headphone amplifier at home. Noise reduction works when on a plane, near a forced-air fireplace, operating machinery, etc. Battery lasts a long time, headphones work when battery is dead (just no boost/canceling). Comfortable, foldable, has a plane adaptor, carrying bag.
