Review: Although displayed in accessories as a Minolta Xi compatible battery as a replacement for the battery that comes with the camera, it is not and I had to return it.

Review: I got the second battery for my Zaurus and it was one of the best investments I made. The Zaurus uses quite a bit of power, so it's great to have a spare on hand. I also got the battery charger, so when I'm done with one battery, I just pop it in the recharger and go on.

Summary: Its a battery, but seems to be a decent one.
Review: I'm always a little wary of rechargeable batteries, they are expensive and you never know how well they will hold up. I've not used these long enough to know for sure, but it seems that a full charge will get me through a day without any trouble.Nonetheless, having a spare battery and the charger block, allows me to have a second, fully charged battery which may come in handy on longer trips away from a plug. The battery does seem to take and hold a charge well, though I've not put it to heavy use running power-intensive operations like MP3 play or a microdrive (though this is a temping possibility).

Summary: EA-BLO6 NOT for Minolta Dimage Xi
Review: Since this rechargable battery was clearly listed under "accessories" on the Minolta Dimage Xi Amazon WEB page, I purchased one to serve as a backup. It was delivered well before I received the camera. Imagine my surprise when I finally received the Dimage Xi and opened up the Sharp battery package to find that the battery was too wide to fit in the camera or the battery charger which came with the camera! This battery is NOT an accessory that fits with the Dimage Xi. I have sent it back.

Review: What can I say? It's the same battery that comes with the Zaurus (I own the 5500). It has the same battery life, weight and everything else as the one you probably already own. It is very nice to have an extra battery on hand, as the Zaurus chews through these batteries like Homer chews through donuts. But, as for a review of the battery itself, I'd have to give it a so-so review. The battery life of the Zaurus is quite brief. Though, it didn't weigh into my decision of buying a Zaurus, I do wish Sharp would release a higher capacity battery so that I could have more than 3-4 hours of continuous battery life for a single battery. If you desperately need that back up battery now, then definitely buy this. You know what you're getting. But, I'd hold out for Sharp to possibly release a better battery; if you can.
