Summary: Great Headphones
Review: a couple of days ago I bought these headphones and they are fantastic. For the price of 24.99 I was completely satisfied. These headphones give great sound and even look great as well. I have an ipod, and the earbuds that came with the ipod were terrible. They fell out of my ears, and gave terrible sound. I use my ipod for working out, and those earbuds just wouldn't cut it, plus, they hurt. The apple headphones were the worst I have ever listened to. These sony ones however are marvelously fantastic. I highly reccomend these to anyone. Now when I jog in the morning, they stay one my head, and I dont have to replace them every 15 seconds. Apple should stick to ipods, and computers. And accessories or either. Sony however should stick to their music. From these headphones I heard some of the best sound from a portable audio player that I have ever heard. I congratulate Sony corporation on a marvelous set of headphones, that looks great and functions great. Congratulations! These headphones have made me look at other Sony products, and I think that they work fantastically.

Summary: Not for the $
Review: I am disappointed by the sound quality offered by these headphones. Not only do they hurt your ears after wearing them for about 30minutes but sound like they should be $10 headphones.
I feel like I paid for the Sony name and a flashy design.
Some things I did buy them for, but I figured they'd have at least as much bass as my freebie sonys that came with my walkman years ago. Otherwise the sound is OK, too much high and decent midrange. Nothing spectacular here.
I will say that this style of headphone is about the best thing out there for any excercise routine.
I'm usually a Sony fan too, everything I own is sony.
But unfortunately I shouldve gone with Koss in this department, they make behind the neck headphones also, and will in the future.

Summary: Great headphones(despite the price)
Review: I bought the S2 headphones with my new S2 CD Walkman, and let me say that these head phones are great! When ever I go skate or go downhill mountain biking and wear these at the same time, they never slip off of my head, they just stay nice and snug around your ears and behind your head. The "behind the neck" band is great because it doesn't mess up your hair. The street style version of the sport inspired S2 Sony line gives it a very urban stylistic look, which we can all appreciate. The bass on this thing is just fantastic, and the sound quality is great. The S2 version of the street style headphones have added extras like reflectors on the headphones so you can safely jog at night time without being runover by a car. These headphones are also waterproof, so water, nor swear can effect the performance of these headphones. The only downside to these headphones is that you can't comfortably wear glasses of sunglasses while wearing these headphones. Other than that, I absolutley love these head phones and I would recommend these to anyone who likes to listen to music while doing something active, as well as anyone who listens to their portable audio players alot.

Summary: Nice pair of headphones...
Review: I bought these a couple of months ago, and have been very satisfied with them. There range and clarity is excellent no matter what volume they are at. There are very comfortable, except for the hook, but that does help them fit more tightly...a decent tradeoff in my opinion. The ear piece is double padded (the outside foam removal pad, and a seperate pad glued onto the plastic covering the driver itself) All and all this is very good and solid set of headphones from a good and solid company.

Summary: Great Headphones For Running
Review: i bought these several months ago, and i have nothing but good things to report: these headphones are sturdy, waterproof (and sweatproof!), and have that nifty reflective patch on both ear pieces. they never slip off my head, and i find the sound quality is surprisingly good. with some adjusting here and there, i can manage to wear squash glasses or sunglasses with these, though having all that stuff behind my ears is the not the best case scenario. basically, these headphones turned out to be much higher quality than i was expecting. great product!

Summary: Don't wear too long!
Review: I had tried ear buds in the past and could not handle them.

I am so picky; I actually bought three different sets of over the ear headphones and tried them all out! Two were Philips (HS500, HS460) and the other was the Sony MDR-G57G. The only ones that impressed me were the MDR-G57G's. Even though the Philips HS500 are very similar. The reason I liked the Sony's is they sound the Greatest! They also feel Excellent! And to top it all off, They Look Maaarvelous!

The only drawback for me is that after a long time, like an hour or so, they start to hurt my ears (which I must say are kinda' big). That is because they are designed in such a way that they hang on your ears for support. There is a soft plastic hanger that sits snugly behind the top of your ear and sandwiches the top of your ear between it and the phones. It's only a matter of time before the tops of your ears start to ache from the pressure.

Other than that, I love them. I use them to listen to MP3's stored on a 128MD SD card inserted into my iPAQ pocket PC.

Just remember this, it is better to look marvelous then to feel marvelous!

Summary: Suprisingly comfortable design and good sound
Review: I have found that I do not like earbuds, the little "clip on" individual ear headphones, and pretty much anything other than traditional "over the head" stereophones, so I was pleasantly suprised when the Sony MDR-G series actually fit me well. I have the MDR-G57 and MDR-G52 and enjoy both. The G52s were very tough and lasted over three years before the bass started to rattle and the earpeice started to come undone.

Overall, these are very good heaphones but seem a bit overpriced. Many people with long hair or earings may find them uncomfortable or hard to put on and take off because the headband goes *behind* your head not over your head. However, big heads and big ears are not a problem as I have both.

Some major pros to the design is that it is very comfortable for me (even for long term use for homework and stuff), very durable (mine have lived in my backpack for the years they survived), and generally nice looking (especially the G52 -- I could do without the yellow on the G57s).

However, no matter how you slice it you are definitely paying a premium for the Sony name. They are durable and sound very good, but for the money you could buy better sounding headphones from Koss or Aiwa and enjoy your music more. Definitely look at other brands, and if you like these Sony's the most go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: The best headphones
Review: I love these headphones so much that I've bought two pairs so far and I'll probably buy my third pair after my second wears out. I've been wearing this style of headphones for so long that I can't imagine wearing anything else! The sound quality is excellent, even when they're falling apart- I wore my first pair so long that they did begin to fall apart! I only bought my second pair because I felt like my first pair was getting old. I don't bring them around with me anymore, but they still work excellently at home!

These headphones are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn- I've even slept in them multiple times without any problems. It's amazing how much abuse they can take and still work, after years of being twisted and crammed into bags and ripped (the ear foam part)!

After owning two pairs of these, I can safely say that if you decide on these headphones, you will be satisfied.
