Summary: I guess you get what you pay for... Cheap results.
Review: I looked at several cordless units, but I made a mistake & went the lower price route.

PRO'S:
1. It's easy to hook-up with RCA jacks.
2. Signal was able to reach throughout my house.
3. Comfortable and light headphones.
4. Long battery life on 2 AAA.
5. On/Off switch & Volume control on headphones.
6. Tuner on headphones (Also a CON).

CON'S:
1. Tuning is by hand. Why not automatic like a cordless phone?
2. Tuner is too touchy & small. Frequency is easy to knock off while fine tuning it.
3. Tuner & Volume control easy to confuse with each other while wearing the headphones.
4. There's a constant high whining noise that is transmitted with the audio signal. This really drove me crazy within about a minute or two.

Do some real investigating before buying a cordless headset. After all, it's all about the sound quality right? Well, I would think the sound quality of this unit would be embarrassing for Jensen.

I really think that I may have gotten the sound quality that I paid for.

Summary: A very good deal for the money!
Review: I primarily use these at work at my desk with a CD clock radio and they are the easiest to take on and off the ears due to the swing-a-way ear clips. The sport behind-the-neck style was a hassle (long full hair--a girl thing!)and ear buds HURT--no matter what brand! They don't fit tight, they're light and comfortable, even with earrings. The coiled cord with on-cord volume control is a plus. I'm very satisfied with the sound quality and highly recommend this brand/style of bandless headphones. A+!

Summary: Avoid them
Review: I purchased these headphones because they claimed a better than 60 dB signal to noise ratio. As soon as you try them it is immediately clear that this claim is false. These headphones have an unacceptably high noise level. Avoid them!

Summary: POOR quality
Review: I purchased this too because of the pricing. I have never been this dissapointed with a tech product in my life. You cannot move more than 10 feet without static and interferece, I would like to meet the idividual who tested this product at 150 feet becuse it more like 1.5 feet if you want any type of reception or sound quality. At any rate I did return this product as a very unsatisfied customer. This was the first and last product I purchase from the Jensen corp. Save your self the frustration and head aches (literally) and spend the money and get yourself and higher quality product. Also... Read a review or two before purchsing, I wish I had.

Summary: Jensen JW160 Headphones Sound great for the money
Review: I received these as a gift. I believe that they retail for 50$ (less on line here). I don't understand why most people hate these so much. Sound quality is great for something this inexpensive. The reception does fade sometimes but, so what?!? They're on your head! How hard can it be to retune them? Since they are a 900Mgz product I would imagine that they won't work well if your cordless phone also works on 900Mhz (unless of course you want to easedrop on someone).
They are fairly comfortable I like that they are "right on top of your ears". Would be nice if they where adjustable headband. The only "issue" that one might have is the fact that they don't have a lot of bass Spec is 40hz and the high end only goes to 16 khz. Highs do get somewhat "hissy". But I doubt that you could beat them for the money.

Summary: Al
Review: I think for the money these headphones are ok but they are painful after awhile expecially with glasses on, plus if you live in a certain area you will get alot of background noise expecially if you have a 900 mhz phone in the same room. As I said they are good for how little they cost but if you should think of spending more to get better.

Summary: Meets My Expectations
Review: I was not looking to buy this product but received it as a Christmas gift so I did not have high expectations. My sister bought it for me because I tend to want the TV louder than those around me. For that purpose it is excellent. I don't wear the head phones much over an hour so I have never experienced any discomfort. I find an added bonus is that I can travel around the house and still maintain contact with the TV, especially during a sporting event in or the news. I live in a 100 year old, 3 story house and have pretty clear reception throughout even on the porch. Yes, there is the occasional drop out of the signal, but only momentary. For my purpose it would not be worth any more money for the difference in quality. I have also used it to listen to CD's throughout the house and, because music quality isn't the highest priority in my life, this product is quite acceptable. PS. - (...)

Summary: I sent it back...
Review: I was replacing a 3 year old "as seen on TV" wireless FM based headset. These 900mhz state of the art headphones didn't even come close.

Here are the problems:

Headphones picked up a local TV station even with the base turned of. Very poor performance when used plugged into my TV's RCA type audio jacks. (why I bought them). Hissy and staticy walking around inside house (even close up). Tech support rep very condescending.

I am certain it was the model and not my TV or house or locality. I went out and purchased the Advent AW720 and have none of the above problems.

I would have liked to read this before I purchased.

On the good side, Amazon is making the return very very painless. Thanks Amazon!

Summary: Great headphones, depending on how you use them
Review: I was very skeptical of these headphones after reading reviews all over the internet. But based on price, it seemed like a risk worth taking. Have I ever been pleasantly surprised!

I use these primarily for working out. I have them hooked up to my mp3 player and then to the transmitter. I have the transmitter in the basement less than 10 feet from my workout area and have had zero problems. However, if I decide to go upstairs then I have issues with the walls, interference etc. But I knew that was going to happen since my cordless 900mhz phone did the same thing.

The unit is SO portable it makes moving the transmitter a breeze. If I want to wear the headphones outside, I would move the transmitter to a better location, not leave it in the basement.

For someone who want to use them while they work out and is willing to move the transmitter every once in a while based on where you are, then this is perfect. No more flailing wires on bouncing mp3 players while on the treadmill.

Once tuned in, sound quality was great for me. If I'm working out or doing yardwork all I want to be able to hear is the music to keep me going.

Overall, just use common sense. If your cordless phone has issues in your house, then guess what, so will these 900mhz headphones.
