Summary: Excellent value for the money!
Review: I bought this laptop yesterday. Spent part of the day getting used to the features and testing the speed of hardware, software, and internet...you get an Intel Celeron 1.13GHZ processor. 256mb RAM, 16mb Video (can change to 32mb using system memory), a combo DVD-CDRW drive, and some popular software titles running on Windows XP Home version. The DVD worked fine using only 16mb of video. Sound is not the greatest but certainly acceptable for laptop use, and there is a jack for headphones. Combo LAN/modem card also. Very pleased with this so far.

Summary: Good Idea for a College Student
Review: I received this as a gift in January 2002, as a 2nd semester college freshman. I picked it because it was one of the cheaper ones, however, it turned out to be a very wise choice and very useful. It is small enough that I can put it in my shoulder back (not with heavy books though) and take it to school.

I rarely used it until my desktop computer crashed and this little thing turned out to be a lifesaver for my homework. It may not be as fast (only have an Intel Celeron), but it can handle have 3 Word documents open, as well as the Internet.

This also can double as an awesome DVD player at school or in the car. You just have to make sure that it is plugged in because the DVD will skip if the computer doesn't have a power source other than the battery to draw on.

One think I wished this came with would be a 3.5 floppy disk drive because I don't like having to burn a CD just so I can work on my homework at home or on the computers at school.
