Summary: Omnibook 6100
Review: I ordered this the 25th of November and received it shortly there after. I am not a business person so I'm new to the Windows 2000 Pro that it came with. I've contacted HP email support. Email support from HP was as prompt and helpful as email support from Amazon. I'm beginning to get used to the new OS and can recommend it. I really like the way my Omnibook is made. It has everything placed conveniently even the front bay switch. No more turning the computer upside down to find the switch to trade bay devices!! It's right next to the bay where it should be! I'm disabled so that's important to me. It's light weight for a 15 inch screen. Beautiful colors. I think most new games will run like a dream on this machine. It has great sound! It recognized my Nomad IIC via the usb port instantly!

Why 4 not 5 stars? Because of a couple of things: 1st; beware, the screen gets very dim on battery. But one can adjust that using the HP display settings. 2nd, no built-in firewire port but a PC card adapter can be used. 3rd, the screen resolution is a little more difficult for me to see the fonts and icons but that's easily adjusted too. Photos will look wonderful when I scan them in.

Important advice: don't press the edge on either side of the screen to tilt it back use the tougher plasic at the top edge.
None of these minor complaints make me regret buying it. I do highly recommend getting it.

Summary: Awsome!!
Review: Let me say that ive had alot of dells and even the newest of the dells does not compare to this HP. I dont much like Windows 2000 so i ripped it off and threw XP Pro on it as soon as it came outta the box. Not a problem it detected everything and all the 2000 drivers worked fine. I also Installed SUSE Linux 7.3 with duel boot and all drivers for linux worked fine. I have taken this on several business trips including to Taiwan and they just loved it when I made my presentation. While on the Beech I was taking some pics of some girls and used the USB ports to upload them frome the camera so as you can see its not just for business. On the plane I managed to watch 2 complete DVD movies before the batery died verry Impressed. And for gaming WOW it does verry well and I noticed better fps running QIII then on my other Toshiba with the Geforce2go 32 meg. Simply put this is a sure winner in my book.
