Summary: Good Notebook
Review: I have had this unit for 3 weeks now and find myself liking it more everytime I use it. Very versatile and loaded with some very nice features for the price. The display is exceptional for a notebook, no need to hook it up to my 19" Viewsonic. I was a bit worried about not having any backup/restore disks but was pleasantly surprised to find that it will make you a set if you want, on either a cd or dvd.
The only drawback is the battery life. About 1 hour is all I have been able to squeak out. But considering that I bought it for a desktop replacement, I can live with having it plugged in.
Overall, I would recommend this notebook to anyone looking for a desktop replacement in notebook form.

Summary: Dont ever think upgrades
Review: Never trust Sony laptops, you lose functionality if you ever make the mistake of upgrading and the laptop is pretty much useless.

Summary: Excellent Mid-grade notebook!
Review: Overall nice machine. I get about 2.5-3 full hours battery life, even while watching a DVD. Didn't come with any disks, so make sure you make your own when you first buy. Expensive batteries and AC power supplies.. few accessories. But the sceen/display is amazing! Well built, full of built-in features, and a pleasure to use. Again, the display is truely unsurpassed.

Could be better, but not at this price.

Summary: Vaio K15
Review: Overall, a solid mid-level notebook capable of performing a wide variety of functions and multi-media applications. Unfortunately, the down side is a pretty big one: battery life is pretty pathetic. Don't count on more than 45 to 50 minutes playing a dvd on a fully charged battery. I've also had a few intermittent problems getting it to recognize photos stored on my Sony memory sticks, which is kind of ironic considering it's Sony's own proprietary memory storage medium.

Summary: Low battery life but a good computer
Review: Sony makes good electronics what can I say..and everybody including myself has no problems with Vaios as far as bugs or what not...good computer.
