Summary: not enough memory
Review: 32 megs barely does 30 minutes of music and the software is clunky, clunky, clunky. Needs a more intuitive interface...let's I want to put tracks on my portable...why should that be so hard?

Summary: Great Value
Review: A great player if you're looking for something small and lightweight. Only one complaint -- no holder for when you're using it during exercise or walking (a belt clip would be a nice accessory SAMSUNG!!!). On the pro side the USB connection provides fast download of music from my computer; the YEPP is PC or MAC compatible; the software is super easy to use; and the sound is impressive (the four EQ presets provide a nice range of choices). All in all a great value for the money.

Review: Any one who dosent have a mp3 player and wants one, but is worried about the price. This is the one for you! now it only holds up to 8 songs, but it is light and it looks very good. My suggestion is if your new and you want a MP3 player get this one I know cuz this is my first one

Summary: Good choice for first timers
Review: At [price], I thought this would be a good way to give MP3's a try. I've only had this for a few days, but so far, I'm very impressed. Sound quality is great and it's unbelievably small.

I use both Macs and PC's. The bundled software works well on both. The Mac package lets me upload songs to my Mac, but the PC package doesn't. Dunno why. Don't count on Samsung's web page to give you much by way of tech support - it's pretty weak.

I plan to use this for my 30 minute workouts, so the 32MB capacity shouldn't be much of an issue. However, I've got two minor glitches: 1) I haven't figured out how I'm gonna hold it. There's no belt clip, so unless I rig something up, I'll have to hold it in my hand. Its small size and smooth shape makes me worry that, being the klutz that I am, I might drop it. B) It would be great if Samsung added a "key lock" function (like the one on my Sony walkman) that would prevent unintended button pushing while I'm running.

If I get heavily into MP3's, I suspect I'd go buy a more deluxe player and hand this down to the kids. In the meantime, [price] is a cheap way to get started. Love it!

P.S. Downloading MP3's is a WHOLE LOT better with a cable/DSL connection.

Review: dude, i got this as a gift, without the headphones though, and i found that the baby yepp program was sooo simple. sure, the 32MB space is a blow, but if you encode in mp3PRO using dBpowerAmp Music Converter ( http://www.dbpoweramp.com ), it makes this tiny thing an awesome mp3 player. you can get a 6MB file down to 2MB with OK quality, i mean, it aint perfect 192Kbps, but it sure sounds good for a 2MB file. trust me, this is a greatt buy!

Review: Dudes!
This is a GREAT little thing.
The 32MB can be overcome. What i did was use mp3PRO files, which are half the file size. So i have 15 songs loaded into it now, at a good sound quality. (i encoded with Musicmatch)
Also, it doesn't need an off switch, as it turns itself off after 30 sec.
The battery lasts for 4 hours or less, as it is one AAA. This thing is meant to be SMALL. If you want more horsepower, get a bigger horse.
But i love this for my purposes. It is so SMALL, and light.
I am a singer by trade, so i use it just to learn new songs in spare moments. Multi-tasking!
This is a perfect product for very light use, especially if you use mp3PRO. I already carry a PDA, cell phone, i don't want another big gadget. It's not a full use mp3 player, its for folks who want something superSMALL!
i can't wait for the next ones, when they are down to the size of a watch!
Mine paid for itself in one day! I learned 5 new tunes in my spare moments!
Yeppee!
-----------
PS: You MUST get rechargable batteries for these types of things! The recharables will last many months.
The reason it gobbles batteries is that it is ONE AAA. The reason it is one AAA is to make it small!
Its just a cool, tiny, audio player. And the sound is GOOD! I played it one my home speakers, and it sounds pretty darm good! You can't beat the price or the size!

Summary: ok I guess but could be great
Review: First no off switch - that really bugs me. I know it turns off but never seems to.
Second battery life -there is none. pain to open and replace a AAA batery every time I need to use it.Come on now 3 hours batery life? whats up with that?
Uploading is not a simple drag and drop. This is a biggie. If I was to buy a mp3 player it must be drag and drop. who has time for another software product. It works, but I bought it to make my life easier but it hardly does that. But hey it was cheap for 64 megs.

Summary: Terrific for the Price
Review: For the price, this is a great little unit with good sound. It was easy to setup the software and using the USB Port downloading files was a snap. If your looking for a basic portable MP3 player, you can't go wrong with this unit. The unit is very small and lightweight which makes it perfect for jogging. The only drawback I see is that you're stuck with the 32 Mbyte of memory which let's you store approximately 30 mins of music.

Summary: MP3 upgrade from 32MB to 64MB - from Mini-Yeep to Techno Yee
Review: Hey, I like this gadget so much, I bought it as a birthday gift for myself. After a few minutes all was installed, the great track "Take This Waltz" ... via USP cable (included) from PC to PORTABLE transfered, the high quality ear phones (included) in my ears - great sound! Not so great is the AAA battery (one included) lifetime. First I thought it could be the included battery which may be old - but new AAA batteries (good brand) made it not longer. So, having AAA batteries available is a must. After the first week, my need for having my favored sounds in my Mini-Yepp increased and so the 32 MB memory got 'eaten-up' in a hurry. Finally I decided to put the Mini-Yeep on Amazon Marketplace and purchased the Samsung Techno Yepp 64 MB Digital Audio Player (ASIN B000059RAB). A good deal? Yes, at least I think so: I got some experience with MP3 - I had much fun with this "gem" and will have even more with the "Techno" which can be expanded with memory cards. ...
