Review: Monitor supports maximum 75 hz refresh rate at 1024x768 instead of the usual ~85 hertz and it is on the small side measuring 15.7" visually. Ever here of 4:3 perspective Samsung? You can't just make it wider you have to make it taller too.

Review: My monitor has a manufactured date of March 2001. The red tube must be dead, because I'm getting no red in my pictures. The picture's still really sharp, but wish I had all my colors back.

Summary: Good, and inexpensive
Review: Nice controls, and even if 75Hz is the maximum at high res, that's good enough for no flicker. Love the flat screen. There is a very slight bow on the top of my particular display but hardly noticable. Very bright and vibrant picture.

Review: Samsung has a new promotion running from 7/1 to 9/1 for a ... rebate. ... I was looking up some info for a friend and saw this. So the rebate will compensate for some if not all of the shipping cost. A great monitor at a fantastic price!

Summary: buy this u won't regret it
Review: the best monitor i ever had...even better than my sony e200 which i paid $..for. images r crisp, sharp and bright. my only complaint is the plain ordinary cabinet. but the flat screen makes up for the plain appearance. for the price the deal can't be beat. images r uniform all over...no blurred areas near the edges like some other monitors. just can't imagine how the other more expensive top of the line samsung models compare with this one....since this one itself is flawless. i highly recommend this to n e 1 with A++++++++++ scores.

Summary: Great color, horrible geometry
Review: The display is bowed down in the middle along the top edge, and angles up along the bottom edge from left to right. It could probably be adjusted to within tolerable limits if Samsung had provided a vertical pincushion adjustment in addition to the horizontal one (they didn't), and a horizontal trapezoid adjustment in addition to the vertical one (they didn't). Also, if the monitor is shut off for a while (like overnight) and turned back on, the colors are faded until you shut off/turn on again. Since the nearest service center is 150 miles away, I'll be returning this one, and replacing it with one of a different brand that I can see before I buy it. Live and learn.

Summary: no worries with eyestrain with this one!
Review: The flat, non glare screen is fantastic for those of us who develop eye fatigue. The sharpness of the graphics and the clarity of images are simply phenominal. The weight turns out to be about the same as a 15" Princeton monitor which I was replacing, and that is a relief on the back when setting it up. I found this unit to weigh as much as 8-10 pounds lighter than some 17" models out there. Obviously cost is an issue, but the quality of this makes this a clear monitor to choose regardless. The RebatePlace has a..rebate listed that expires 6/31/01, so that should seal the deal for you.

It is crisp and clear and runs flawlessly @ 1024 X 768 @ 85 hz.
I have had mine for several months and have yet to find a better deal on a 17" flat screen.

Review: The Samsung SyncMaster 753 is a fantasic monitor for the price. Colors are vivid and text shows clearly. I haven't owned any other 17 inch CRTs, but this one sure beats my 15 inch lcd. The controls are very simple to use and the optional software is a snap to install. It can run at 85hz on many resolutions. The monitor itself pivots with ease. In nutshell, a great price for the features and performance.
