Summary: Look for rebates
Review: AG Neovo LCD monitors are pretty stylish and have good image quality. The most salient feature of the F-417 17" model is its 430:1 contrast ratio, compared to 350:1 for most other LCDs in this price range. Response time is rated at 20ms, also lower than most of its competitors in the class. (16ms or lower is regarded as "ideal" for LCD monitors, as a small response time gives smooth moving images, important when you want to watch videos on the monitor.)

I find the viewing angles on the F-417 quite good. There is one dead pixel (red) on the sample I received, but otherwise the unit feels quite solid. My own favorite LCDs, if money were no object, would be Sharp, then NEC-Mitsbishi. Nothing beats Sharp's monitors, because they are now "6th-generation." ...

Summary: nice!
Review: I bought the F-417 display based on postive customer reviews of other AG Neovo displays. So far I'm really enjoying this monitor. Setup was easy using Windows XP and no software is needed. The monitor has an autoadjust feature but a bit of manual adjustment makes the picture even better. The display is very bright and has good contrast over 400:1. DVD video looks excellent.

The build seems extremely solid. I noticed the display doesn't have the creakiness and plasticky feel of many other LCD displays I've looked at. The three year warranty is an added bonus.

The least impressive feature is the oncreen menu. It's not very intuitive but that is a minor gripe as you'll probably adjust it once and never touch the buttons again. The great picture, solid construction, nice style, and 3 year warranty are more important.

Summary: Migraine
Review: I bought this monitor on the basis of the reviews here. It wasn't until later that I found the zdnet review which pans it.
Their big argument was that smaller fonts were fuzzy, and it's true. It's also a lot more trouble than one might think. We gave it a try for a few days, but it was unusable. In fact, one day my wife, having been on it for several hours, developed a severe migraine. She doesn't commonly get them, and hasn't had one in over 5 years. This is pretty much a show stopper, of course.

For game play (quarkIII arena) the pixelization was highly irritating. Additonally, I'm not unfamiliar with the limitations of LCD's, I use one 50+ hours/week at the office. I have returned my AG Neovo, and purchased a Samsung 173T in the same price range. That monitor has offered great performance, and no migraines.

Summary: here's the scoop
Review: I felt I was taking a chance with this lcd monitor..after all, my old crt 13" worked fine...well, for those who are about to take the plunge, go ahead and relax...the setup here takes about 10 minutes max..you put the screen on the base, plug it into the computer(mine is a dell dimension 2400) and electric outlet, and turn everything on.....and it works!! nothing else to do...except write this review....I don't know how other screens look because I haven't judged any in the stores..but this is bright and clear...the auto adjust does everything...now, how about that 34" lcd hdtv?

Summary: Excellent Monitor @ Bargain Price
Review: I read the reviews for this monitor and I was a little bit hesitant on ordering it, but I figured hey ZDnet are professional computer people and look at things most home users will never really need to worry about! Well I am now using this monitor and I don't see anything wrong with it all, my pictures are clear, text is clear, Mac OS X Jaguar even recognized it without me having to install a single piece of softare. This monitor is great if you want a LARGE LCD at the small LCD price point!

Summary: Great monitor.
Review: Just recieved this monitor and I couldn't be happier. Easy set-up and everything is very clear. The picture is great - even watching live TV and playing games. There is not a single dead/stuck pixle on the screen (believe me, I checked VERY closely).

Summary: "pleased with mine"
Review: This is my 5th home LCD monitor; 3rd 17 inch model. Not a single dead pixel; and it looks great. There might be better monitors for exorbitant prices, but this one is definitely adequate.
