Summary: this is a great product
Review: First, my set up as yours may vary ... I am using a IBM thinkpad with DVA output, so keep that in mind - I don't know what analog output would look like or what your video card would look like.

The monitor has zero dead pixals, screen refresh is really fast, colors are bright and clear, text is crisp. Set up was just turning it on.

I don't have te best vision but My 46 year old eyes can read 1280x1024 on the Envision just fine.

There may be better monitors for gaming or whatever, but at this price I give the Envision 5 stars for the budget buyer that wants great quality.

Summary: 19" of Crystal Clear, easy on the eyes Computer Luv...
Review: Great Monitor, at a great Price. Don't know what else to say but LCD is the best thing to happen to Moniors in a long time, this monitor replaced a 19" Envision CRT. It was like adding on 4 Square feet to my desk, and knocking a few walls down after I had three friends, and an crane remove the old CRT, which has worked flawlessley for years, and still does, gave it to the kids for Video Games, I, by myself, and effortlessly, installed the new monitor on my desk. (Almost forgot if you are replacing an old CRT get ready to cleam up some dust and grime, Yechhh!) I should have done this long ago, my eyes feel much better with the new monitor for some reason, maybe because there is less glare? I would Highly recomend this monitor to anyone that is interested in a great monitor at a geat price.

Summary: A first impression
Review: Had this unit for only a few days and everything seems to work great so far. I plugged the unit into a PNY Verto GeForceFX card and it got detected and self-adjusted the display. I didn't have to load the included driver which came on a diskette. The screen is very bright, no dead pixels, and text is decently sharp and readable at 1152x864. I could push it up to 1280x1024 but it makes the text too small for me.

I upgraded from the 17" EN-7100 model to this 19" model because I've been happy with Envision inspite that it's a lesser known brand. I never had to deal with returns or tech support in the past so I couldn't comment on Envision's customer service. The way I look at it is, if a product is well made then there is no need for tech support.

Pros: 1. This unit comes with both DVI (digital) and VGA (analog) connectors and cables. The 17" model only comes with analog input.
2. The bezel (frame around the LCD screen) is narrow, hence the overall width and height of 19" model is the same as the 17" model (which has a wider bezel).
3. Lower price compared to other "name" brands.

Cons: 1. The tilt mechanism is very stiff, requiring a fair amount of force to adjust the tilt angle.
2. The external power adapter is about the same size (if not bigger) than those that come with laptops. There is enough room on the base (pedestal) of the monitor to have the power adapter built in or at least include a compartment for it.

Overall, I would rate it 4 and half stars (90% rating) but since there is no such provision and I've not used it long enough to know what may go wrong in the months ahead, I'm giving it a conservative 4 stars for now. If you're looking for a decent 19" LCD monitor, this is definitely worth considering.

An update after a month's use:
Still working fine so far. I tried installing the driver that came on a diskette but found that it was corrupted. Went to Envision's Website but could not locate the driver for the EN9100 model -- in any case, it works without installing the driver.

The price has dropped since I purchased it. Watch out for rebates which can bring the price even lower. Still the best deal all around (price/performance) compared to other brands...

Summary: awesome display
Review: I bought the display seven days ago and after returning the first LCD due to a cluster of bad pixels in middle of the screen [really annoying] -- the second monitor only has _one_ bad pixel in the upper left. Since I've been an LCD owner for over five years [laptops, et al] I'm used to seeing a bad pixel on a device here and there. Something to keep in mind with these LCDs is that the big blockly pixels of your laptop LCD are no more -- these pixel are practically dwarfed by a pinhead.

Anyway, I ran the monitor on an Analog connection for a day -- terrible refresh on some things, but the autosync button helped sharping things up during resolution changes.

With the digital display connection I'm currently running the monitor has not had to be adjusted once. The Envision EN9110 looks great, it makes my nice 19" Sun Microsystems monitor [i run a dual headed system] look dank and poorly contrasted.

The 600:1 contrast ratio is what makes this monitor a compeditor.

I would heavily recommend this brand to anybody as a direct compeditor to ViewSonic's 19" LCD line.

I would give this product a 5 star rating if the monitor did not have pixel problems when first purchased. I know LCDs can be made to be more reliable -- I have a Thinkpad that after 3+ years still does not have a bad pixel.

Summary: Great Price, Poor Quality
Review: I bought the Envision because of the price and what you get as far as specs.

The first one I brought home would not power on. So I took it back and got a different one.

The quality of the product is not that great. The plastic casing of the flat panel is just cheap. The cover on the back where you tuck in the cables has really small tabs that break off very easily, so be careful.

I wish I would have spent a little extra and bought a Sony or Viewsonic

Summary: Great Value!
Review: I did a lot of shopping around and decided to try out this LCD monitor. I'm glad I did. Great looking picture, sharp, bright and solid. Well built as well. 3 year warranty which is much better then the standard 6 month or 1 year you will get with most other brands. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did as well.

Summary: Great price - great product
Review: I first saw the monitor at a local warehouse store but they were out of stock. Comparing it to the pictures on the other monitors, it seemed much brighter. I purchased it on line through Amazon and received it 2 days later (additional shipping charge). When I hooked it up I had to turn down the brightness controls. For the first time I can actually watch a DVD on the computer and enjoy it. Yes it is somehat more flimsy than some of the other monitors which cost significantly more, however, it is also less bulky and takes up less space. Once it is set up, it does not get moved around much, so, unless there is an earthquake, I am not concerned that the other units may be heavier. It also comes with a 3 year warranty which is better than other monitors. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Great Monitor, Excellent Price!
Review: I was a little reluctant to purchase this monitor based on the low price. I always keep in mind that "you get what you pay for". This holds true for the Envision monitor. You get a monitor which suffers from a little less quality than some more costly models, but offers the same pleasing LCD performance. In this case, the good points highly outweigh the bad. After receiving my monitor, I would highly recommend this monitor to everyone. The LCD monitor is essentially the same as the Sony and Viewsonic models that are at least $100 more. The display is bright and crisp. Colors are very vibrant.
This monitor performs beautifully in all resolutions, everything is crystal clear. The anti-glare screen works perfectly, even when the sun is shining brightly through the window, I never see glare, which my eyes give two thumbs up.

The only flaws that this monitor has are: 1) The monitor's tilt mechanism is very stiff. This shouldn't be much of a problem though, since you can see the screen at all angles without a problem. You should only have to adjust the tilt once and forget about it. 2) The plastic tabs that hold the wiring in the back are very fragile. Again, this is an area that most will only use once, but still be careful not to break the tabs.

If you don't mind spending extra money, you could get better build quality on a Sony or Viewsonic monitor. But if money is a factor, I would definately buy this less expensive model. You'll be glad you did.
