Summary: Fantastic display - works perfectly with my Intel XP system
Review: I recently bought this monitor through Amazon. I upgraded my video card to a GEforce FX 5600 since that has a DVI port. This is probably one of the best technology investments I have ever made. Razor sharp picture, have yet to find a single dead pixel - not saying there aren't any - just that they are not apparent. Have played a bunch of games on it - no ghosting. Have watched DVD's on it - they look awesome. Aesthetically it is beautiful. I have never owned a Mac computer - and don't expect I ever will - but I own (and love) an IPOD. I just hope Apple keeps making cool new "non computer" stuff since they are brilliant at it.

Summary: Nothing Better
Review: I've had this for months now. Not only is it a huge step up if you've been on a CRT, but having come from using dual CRTs for years, it is great to get out of having to drag things off of straddling the space between the monitors.

I was on a quest for years to find a setup where I had enough screen real estate for diagramming. Dual CRTs were good, but 1900x1200 on this display is beautiful, especially when combined with the excellent fonts that make it possible to zoom out and still read things perfectly. If you have a Powerbook, of course you can hook that up and have dual displays and drag things between them.

Definitely worth the extra dough. This is actually a bargain vs. other displays that support comparable resolution.

Summary: Works with Windows XP
Review: Just bought the 23" Apple Cinema display. It works at full res with a GeForce 4 4600 and Windows XP. It has no hardware brightness/contrast controls, but the NVidia driver has these controls + gamma. You can save configurations (such as nighttime, cloudy, office etc) and access them quickly from the taskbar. I have one dead pixel, but at this resolution it is hardly noticeable. You have to buy the DVI to ADC converter to get it to work with an NVidia GeForce card ($$$). There is no loss in quality when using the converter (it is all digital). Color quality and brightness are even across the entire screen. The pixel response is fast for an LCD, but not as quick as a CRT. Still, DVDs and flight simulator rarely exhibit ghosting. Definitely happy with my purchase.

Summary: This display is better than anyone expected
Review: My colleague had some serious selling to do when he said he wanted to buy one of these for his programming work. Like most places that use PCs we felt that Apple equipment is nice but overpriced, and when we saw the price of this display was so low (compared to other displays that can do 1920 by 1200) we thought it would be awful. Also, most people in the group thought that there would be serious problems running this display with a PC.

Anyway, we bought a display from a local dealer on the understanding that we could retuyrn it if there were problems. We also bought an Apple converter so that this display will run with a PC graphics card ($99 list). Set up took a few minutes (mostly unpacking the screen and removing the protective layers around it) and there was no problem getting it running on an nVidia Geforce 4 card. It's no exaggeration to say that we were blown away when the display was fired up.

The first thing that strikes you is the sheer amount of space available. The second thing is the beauty of the display. This is, without any doubt, one of the highest quality displays on the market at this time, and it is the lowest price monitor with this resolution on the market. Technically, there have been no problems in the 9 months that we have had it. Unlike several other smaller LCD displays, it has no dead pixels and the screen is evenly illuminated from top to bottom and from side to side. Colors are well rendered and do not vary across the screen, and text is clearer than any CRT I have ever seen. There are no negatives to this display.

To cut a long story short, in my office we ALL would like one of these displays. No exceptions. So far we have bought three and I expect that we will buy more as budget permits. This display may seem expensive, and it is compared to smaller displays, but I have no doubt at all that it is worth the price.

Summary: Simply Awesome!!!
Review: The calibration of the screen is amazing. The color is astounding and the amount of space to work on is incredible. There's room to view two full sizes pages and palettes with a little room left to spare. The footprint of this amazing monitor is a lot less than my previous 15" monitor! There's just no turning back after you've test-driven this baby!

Summary: Excellent monitor
Review: The screen itself is excellent. Especially since you can get a (...) rebate if u buy it together with an Apple G5 Powermac. Buy one you won't be disappointed. Also, Apple will release a 30" display in the Apple WWDC (...)

Summary: A Screen Built for Hulk
Review: This baby is to monitors like biscuits are to the English--a pure necesity. The large screen allows me to fit so many windows. Although Macs were used to make the Hulk, I believe the makers don't like Apple. Why? Just watch the movie. The first thing Bruce Banner does when he turns into the Hulk is smash this 23-inch beauty with his massive fist! Why? I hear Ang Lee chose to forgo the CGI in this clip and chose to break a real Apple monitor. Such a waste. PETA is should stop wasting their time with their "saving the animals" gimmick and should devote their time to saving beautiful screens like this one.

Summary: Stunning image, wrong connector
Review: This display isn't compatible with current Powerbooks. An expensive adapter is required.

Same adapter is required for any industry standard DVI port.

Summary: The only way to fly...
Review: This monitor is quite simply the gold standard by which others are judged. I hesitated for a long time before taking the plunge and I'm mighty glad I did.

For text-based applications, where else can you view 2 A4 pages side by side and still have room for the dock and pallettes on the side?

The image is crisp and beautiful -- I realize there are higher res monitors out there, but for a Mac system this is ideal.

I say bring on the rumored 30 incher pleeeze...

Summary: see all, know all
Review: this monitor is the closest thing to crawling inside the computer. It is great for working with programs that have a lot to look at like Flash or photoshop, it is even better for working with HiRes video, 720 - 1080. connects with DVI or apples ADC connection. Best monitor ever.
