Image quality benefits from a high (500:1) contrast ratio, peak brightness of 270 candles/square meter, and wide, 170-degree viewing angles horizontally and vertically. Analog RGB and DVI digital link inputs let you plug in everything from your PC or Macintosh computer to home-entertainment devices like a DVD player, DTV receiver, game console, digital satellite system, or camcorder. Samsung's patented PVA (patterned, multiple-domain vertical alignment) technology is at the heart of the 240T. PVA benefits include high contrast (nearly perfect vertical alignment of the liquid crystal produces a completely black state, yielding a very high contrast ratio), fast--25 ms--response (vertical alignment of the liquid crystal results in extremely fast response to voltage), and high transmittance (extremely narrow domain boundaries increase cell aperture ratios, allowing more light to pass and increasing brightness).
