Summary: Broke after 5 months
Review: I used to use this for my daily workouts on the elliptical machine. After about 5 months it just stopped working entirely...too much money for too little time.

Summary: Vehemently frustrated in DC!
Review: Most user-unfriendly device I've used on my computer in a long time. I bought this little bad-boy with high hopes, and after 3 hours of diddling with the device and musicmatch(yes i'm computer literate! Very computer literate, just short of being a programmer), i still couldn't get the darn thing to work. It is just the most stubborn tiny box i have ever used. I think RCA might be selling faulty usb media connection cords with this thing, so it might not necessarily be that its the player. ALSO, and a very big ALSO!!!! It only uses musicmatch. I loathe musicmatch. Why am I forced to use a program that I abhor in order to use my MP3 player (doesn't work with windows media player, iTunes, you name it, it doesn't work with it!)

ARRGGHHHH
Vehemently frustrated in DC

Summary: a lot of muscle in a little item
Review: This thing is small, lightweight, has great capacity and accessories. It comes with a neck strap and wrist band and stays put, worry-free, thru a whole workout. I've even had it off the leash, so to speak, and actually dropped it several times, but the thing just keeps on going like the proverbial Bunny. Two misses: it eats batteries a little quickly, (but frankly the convenience is more than worth it) and won't take audible.com files (no huge loss). Others I considered were light, but lacked the portability with awkward shapes or inadequate accessories, or might've been more battery efficient, but lacked the storage and bitty size. Pity about the color, but hey. If you want your tunes to really work out with you, this thing is with you every step of the way.

Summary: Planned obsolescence at it's finest
Review: This player worked great while it was within the one year warranty. The month after that warranty expired the player ceased to function. I contacted RCA's customer service and was politely told that if I mail the player to them they would replace it for [money]. Now I am wishing I had bought a heavier player so it would at least make a decent paper weight.

Summary: Doesn't stack up against other MP3 players
Review: I bought this MP3 player to use while running, and was pleased with some of its features, but was greatly disapointed at some of its limitations.

PROS:
-Relatively inexpensive
-Compact
-Accessories (armband necklace attachment) make it perfect for use while exercising
-Decent sound quality
-Does have several equalizer settings

CONS:
-Vinyl case is flimsy
-Uses up 2 AAA batteries in about 5-6 hours. (for comaprison, the MP3 player I currently use goes through 1 AAA battery in 10 hours)
-It can only be loaded with songs through the Musicmatch software
-Will not upload certain songs due to copyright protection measures, or MP3 encoding formats
-Not programmable

Since purchasing this MP3 player, I have bought two more MP3 players of different brands (one for extended use at work, and a lightweight one for running). These players were just as inexpensive as the Kazoo, but are both far more versatile, and full-featured. So if you're looking for a lightweight MP3 player for exercise with decent features and no software limitations, consider getting a flash drive/pen drive MP3 player. They're always small, have low power consumption, and are surprisingly full featured.

Summary: The Perfect MP3 Player
Review: RCA's 64MB Kazoo MP3 player is perfect. It is small and you can drop it without it breaking. It stores just the right amount of songs and doesn't suck up batteries. It is idiot proof and anyone can use it. You can either add songs from CD's or download them off the internet. There are tons of ways to use it too. There are five different ways to play your music from bass to jazz. I haven't seen a better MP3 yet!

Summary: good sound, good size, poor case....
Review: I use this everytime I run and I really enjoy it. It is a good unit overall and I would recommened it to most users. The sound is terrific and once you overcome the difficulty with Windows XP and learning how to use MusicMatch Jukebox it is easy to download and upload songs. It is extremely portable (huge plus!) and the controls are easy to use.. HOWEVER with that being said...the carrying case that comes with this unit is not that great. It is a very cheap plastic case that breaks, well, for me, in about 6 months after purchase (w/ 3 runs a week)I am now left to hold it in my hands which is sometimes slightly inconvinent. I would purchase the newer version of this product that comes with a hard plastic case that looks to be more solid than the flismy plastic delievered with this unit.

Summary: Terrible
Review: This is the second RCA MP3 player I purchased. The first one was the RD1020. I received an error message every time I tried to download music into the external disc. So I gave up on it and returned it. So I thought this time I would try another RCA model, RD1060. At first I thought it was great then the batteries died within 15 minutes of play. First I thought it was the batteries so I replaced the batteries. Well, the same thing happened when I replaced the batteries. So I'm giving up on RCA products. My suggestion if you are going to buy an MP3 player definitely do your research.

Also the customer service department is absolutely no help. If you buy it and experience problems just return it. Don't waste your time trying to fix the problem through customer service.

Summary: Great Sound; Bad Unit?
Review: I received the RD1060 as a Christmas Gift. I'm giving the product 3 stars because the sound is so good but the one problem that I have with it is not minor. The headphone connection is faulty and has been since I received it. If you move even slightly, the connection switches from stereo to mono repeatedly and with a scratchy sound. I tried 4 seperate sets of headphones; all with the same result. As it is now, it is not usable. Now I must wait to get a replacement and hope that I don't have the same problem (or some other problem) with the new one.

Summary: NEW TOY
Review: I think the kazoo is fantastic.I'm from a time when I had to carry a 10lb battery radio to hear rock@roll on AM.
