Summary: You May have to Check BIOS settings for your Parallel Port
Review: I recieved one as a gift at christmas...I Love it. I have some Advice for those who say they cannot get it to work. I had the problem myself but now it works fine. You may have to go into your computers BIOS and change your parallel port's settings to EPP/ECP. Have no clue what I'm talking about? Call the people who made your computer, not Best Data they don't know the specifics on you computer. The computer company will help guide you through it. For the price this is a good MP3 player and I hope that you who cannot get it to work succeed and see how cool it really is.

Review: Okay, I've seen more than a few people say they can't get the CABO to work. I think I know what the problem is. If you follow the manual EXACTLY, the CABO WON'T work. After hooking it up, you have to click on File and then Connect, and then you can download. You don't always have to press a CONNECT button every time you hook up a new piece of machinery, so why Best Data left this out of the manual, I'll never know. I troubleshooted myself for an hour, checking cables and restarting and changing printer drivers and I don't even want to remember what else before I found this out. Someone else here mentioned it too. I must say I'm surprised at the negative reviews that don't complain about the CABO not working. I think the sound quality is excellent, and the price can't be beat. I've had no problems with it whatsoever, and I love it. No moving parts, no skipping, and it's great...

Summary: satisfied and releived
Review: finally its here. this is my first player and so far its great! i dont know why it got so many bad reviews from the rest of these guys. it works perfectly, i have over 13 songs in it and i have had no problems so far. im gonna start using it to bike ride and show off at skool. this baby is going w/ me everywhere i go. the only problem that i did have was when i first installed it. the program couldnt find that i was connected and couldnt locate my player, but after 5 mins playing w/ it, i finally got it working. but i do think u gotta know a few things bout computers to solve any problems if u happen to run into some

otherwise, great buy for the price. i was definitly satisfied. now lets see if the sandisk cards come down in price too.

Summary: Non-working
Review: I purchased this item for my son for Christmas. After going through two of these items, it was apparent that it wasn't going to work with his Gateway computer or his father's Toshiba. The help desk was impossible to reach; they finally e-mailed us back and offered the same advise that their on-line site gave. Gateway told us there wasn't anything wrong with our computer. The player(s) simply didn't work with two perfectly good computers. Be aware that you may have problems connecting....

Summary: a fantastic deal!
Review: I found the sound to be really, really good. The button is very easy to use, and it comes with in-the-ear headphones that are quite nice. 64 megs (expandable to 96), voice recorder, and phone book, 90 signal-to-noise ratio.

I did a lot of research and it seems to be far and away the best deal out there. The only other mp3 I would consider is the RIO 500, but it's significantly more expensive.

Summary: Great
Review: It is very easy to use. I got about 23 songs on it right now and it is very easy to put songs on it and play them. It is very easy to carry around and it dosnt skip at all. I dropped it two times and it is fine. The sound quality is great. I think it is great.

Summary: Mp3 Player
Review: I really like this product. It's very stable and of equal usage as a more expensive 400.00 one. I think these have good quality but could've been better. It has great sound too.

Summary: Great Player
Review: great player I got it two months ago and the player works wonderfully. My friend has the Rio 500 and it broke after a month I definitealy recomend this one. It has a great price too.

Summary: Has glitches, but is cheap
Review: I received my Cabo two weeks ago and I still have not gotten the software to work properly. It has never been accurately able to tell me the correct amount of megs that I have left, what songs I currently have on my MP3, or that my MP3 is even properly connected to the port. It took me two hours to get the software to download music to my player. By the way, the included batteries did not work. The batteries that I did put in the player only lasted about two hours (but that may be common for all player... they are major power drainers). The headphones are durable, though they irrated my ears so I had to use another set. The quality seems cheap and though my player is working fine right now, I am afraid that six months down the line it may break down.

On the plus side, it does hold about 12 songs (64 MB) and at ... with the mail-in rebate it is definately cheap... quite a steal. The sound quality is pretty good and it comes with a recorder. This is an average player at a very good price.

Summary: I' m buying another
Review: what a great deal! sound quality is great, software easy, and with a cassette adapter, I love it in the car. Only downfall and I do agree is, no backlighting. Otherwise for the price, I,m buying one for my wife.
