Summary: No drivers for XP; indicative of Toshiba's customer service
Review: I bought this little MP3 player for its size; it is little longer and wider than a credit card and as thick as a pen. It was fine until I bought a new PC with Windows XP. Now my MP3 palyer is worhtless. Toshiba does not provide new software for XP! If this is any indication, Toshiba doesn't care at all about customers. Avoid them!

Summary: Only 2 stars??
Review: I bought this player 2 years ago ...in Japan and thought it was a bargin then. I still haven't changed my mind. With SD cards (Sun Disc) making 512MB and soon 1GB memory cards I can listen to my player for hours and hours. My only wish is that it was rechargabe like a cell phone as the hook that holds the battery door closed snapped off. Also, I can only get 5 hours of play time with 2 AAA batteries. Other than that, one of the best buys I ever made!!
At (this price) it would be stupid not to consider this player.

Summary: Good device if you know what to expect
Review: I got this one cheap on auction. Got it just cos it looks great. It sounds good too. Dont expect great sound quality like some other players. This one is just built slim for convenience with a decent sound quality. Great to carry around. Found drivers(audio manager v2.2) for Win2k and XP in the asian market. ...

Summary: Does not work with Windows 2000, terrible customer service
Review: I purchased a MEA-110 which is Toshiba's MP 3 player and it was a major disappointment. Unlike other mp-3 player where you could transfer musics directly (like floppy disk or via windows media player), this one works only on Toshiba's program which is unstable and incredibly slow. The interface is poor. And also, you can only store handful of songs in that interface, beacuse songs are stored on file names (title_01.taf, title_02.taf, etc) regardless whether you change the title of a song or not.

Just solely based on the hardware itself, it is okay... it is slick enough to fit in any of my pocket. However, it does not comes with a case (to protect the device). In addition, there is no accessory option to buy the case....

Major drawback is that it does not work with Windows 2000. I have two computers- one with windows 98 and one with windows 2000, the program can be installed only in windows 98. Nonetheless, the website does not provide any information on patches.... I tried to call the customer services... Intially, I called Tech Center for computer products (then they bounced my call to consumer electronics dept because it is not actually a computer.) Then, I called tech center for consumer products (Then, they bounced my call again because the product is operated with a computer) After getting bounced 4-5 times, I was finally able to get the information I wanted... (That is that there is no driver available and they do not have specific informaiton on when it will be available). What a drag....

Purchasing MP-3 player (Working only with their own program) is drag.. But I learned my lesson Regardless how good the product seems to be, without the proper interface, Do Not Buy IT...

Summary: No Support for Windows XP
Review: I used to like my Toshiba MEA-110 MP3 player. Sounded good. Small & convenient. The software, Toshiba Audio Manager, was a bit cumbersome, but ok once you got used to it. But now that I have a PC with Windows XP and discover that Toshiba offers no support for XP - no drivers to download, no upgrade for Audio Manager - I'm furious. A call to Toshiba tech support offered little more than a shrugged shoulder. I will likely never by a Toshiba product again, just for this reason. Every other peripheral I own is running nicely with XP because the manufacturer either made new software availalbe for download or because XP just handled it. But not Toshiba! And they don't seem to care. Nobody should buy this product.

Summary: The worst player ever
Review: The mea110, is in one word TERRIBLE. its beautiful to look at, and once you get it, thats exactly what you will do. At home people will gawk at it, ask if its a lighter. Your answer will be "oh its an mp3 player, but it doesnt really work" cause it really doesnt. You put the cd in 2000, it doesnt work, on 95 with usb support, it doesnt work, on windows ME, it doesnt work...whats left, is the stupid win 98 (who uses that). And when it works..oh thats a whole different story. Again if you like to look at gadgets, and dont mind if they dont work, hit the "Add to Cart" button.

Summary: Great MP3 player!
Review: This little gadget is great. It is small and light, it fits in any pocket, and it sounds great. The display is really clear as well. Everybody is very impressed with sound quality, design, and size. These are definetly the pluses of this gadget. The 64 internal memory holds a little more than 1 hour of music if you load mp3 files into the player (this also depends on the encoding quality and the original quality of the mp3 file), and about 2 hours if you copy music directly from a music CD.

The software provided by Toshiba is not the greatest on earth but it works fine. I have not had any trouble with it. However, I do use windows 98 second edition, and I have heard that the software does not work well with windows Me and that it does not support the new XP.

All we need now is for the price of SD cards to go down and for Toshiba to release new drivers for XP, then it will be perfect!

Summary: so-so player
Review: this mp3 player is ok - sound quality is good, clear screen, small, and lightweight. however, the battery case cover doesn't close all the way anymore (although still usable) - so it is somewhat fragile. i have windows 98, so audio manager software works - but it crashes my computer every so often. the internal memory only holds about 13 mp3/CD songs - not enough! plus, the internal memory cards seem much more expensive than the player itself. also, can one only use the 64MB SD memory card or can you use the 128 MB card, too? i would actually recommend getting a different mp3 player like the iPod since it holds 5GB or 10GB of music....
