Summary: Outstanding Product!!
Review: I have used my new Cannon i960 for 60 days and I am very happy with the product. I have printed over 75 4X6 and 12 8X10 prints and have been completely satisfied with the product when using Cannon glossy paper. When I have used paper from a competitor there is a marked difference. When I show my prints to my friends they cannot believe that the pictures came from a printer. Photo lab quality.

Summary: easy to use, beautiful output
Review: I haven't even connected this to a PC yet, so I can't comment on the included software. I just take my compact flash card, insert it in the printer, and print away (other media supported as well - see specs). The images are top-quality, and it's easy to choose/crop the images you want to print from the LCD screen on the printer. The fact that I don't have to replace a multi-color cartridge when only one of the colors is gone will keep me from putting out so much $$$ too, which is good.

Summary: Greatest Printer Yet
Review: I just upgraded from an HP 970 Cxi and couldn't be happier. My i900D makes top quality prints on Canon Glossy Photo Pro and Ilford Classic Glossy papers - better than the digital film processors I used. And, its ink is much cheaper than the HP's. And, it has a built in card reader that can be used by the PC and to print picures. And, it includes an LCD for printer status and picture preview (so so quality for picures). And it integrates very well with the great bundled software. And it includes a dedicated 4x6 feeder. And there was a...rebate when I bought it with my Canon S400.

The fact that it is slower than the i960 is actually a benefit. The i960's high speed causes some ink pooling on glossy papers like Ilford Classic Glossy - the i900D actually winds up with betters pics because its slower speed prevents pooling (based on what I have seen.)

Overall I've found excellent quality and all the features I could have wanted in a printer at a great price.

Summary: Awesome Printer for a Great Price
Review: I purchased the i900D a couple weeks ago and I am amazed at how nice the pictures are that come out of this printer. I purchased the i900D and the Canon A80 digital camera at the same time and they are a perfect pair. I own a midlevel Canon film camera that has produced excellent pictures for years so I really wanted to see how the A80 compaired to that. I went around the house and the neighborhood and took pictures with both my film camera and my A80. I printed off all the pictures from the A80 on the i900D and then took the film to be developed. I also took my compact flash card with me to the developer and got some prints with one of those kodak do it yourself printing stations. I asked family and friends which pictures were which and nobody could tell the difference!!! My only regret is that I didnt buy the i900D and the A80 sooner!!

Summary: Excellent Printer Excellent Service
Review: I purchased the i900D through Amazon. In terms of printing, it was flawless. Very pleased with the photos, speed, dB, software, the whole nine yards! However after about a week the LCD screen on the printer developed a solid black line down the middle of it. I contacted Canon Support and within 72 hours another i900D was delivered to my home. In addition they provided all the necessary pre-paid labels to return the defective one. All I needed to do was to call the carrier for home pickup. It could not have been easier.

So when considering any electronic purchase, think about the quality of service that supports the product. Today that is becoming more and more an issue. In this case, at least, Canon came through 100%

Summary: The Best Printer Ever!
Review: I recently bought this i900D printer based on a recommendation my brother and cousin gave me and a few of them I read here on Amazon. I must say, they were all right! One of the very first pictures I printed was a picture of my boyfriend and I standing in front of a beautiful sunset in CA, and my goodness it was one of THE BEST shots I have ever seen and the use of the Canon Photo Pro paper makes it even better! The colors are just so vibrant. And I love the easy-print software package that it comes with, it makes for a quick print of your photos. And the best part is you can set the pictures to print in 'vivid photo' and 'noise reduction' as it will bring out the blue skies brilliantly, and if there is a shadow on the people it will lighten it up! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this printer!

Summary: Great Printer!!
Review: If you thinking to buy a printer capable of printing colorful photos, this is the one. Remember, this is not only a photo printer, it also prints plain paper.

The photos I printed are impressive, you may compare the photos with any commercially developed photo.

I also own a HP1220C Professional Series and the outcome of the Canon it's superb, the only thing is that the 1220 support tabloid format 14 X 17 inches.

Another thing I like from the Cannon is that when you print from the web it puts everything in a single sheet so you are not wasting more paper for just couple of lines. It's pretty neat.

It's a best buy.

Summary: Not so thrilled....
Review: It seems like most people are happy with this printer but I am less then thrilled. I bought it because I love my Canon digital camera and they had a rebate if I bought this printer.

After setting it up, I printed my first photo and the picture seemed fuzzy, it also had an excess amount of pink tone to it. I printed a few more and each time I got the same result. i called Canon customer service, which was EXCELLENT, but the tech could not make it work to my satisfaction so I returned it.

I decided to try again becaue I really wanted the $100 Canon rebate. I went to Best Buy with my compact flash card and printed a test print from my CF.....same thing fuzzy and this time too much yellow. I tried the HP 7960......LOVED IT....looked much more realistic BUT it's quite a bit more in price and no rebate.

I decided to buy the HP 7760 and so far I love it!!!! Great prints for the price!

Summary: i900D Priter
Review: Quality is excellent, some of the best photos I have seen from an inkjet printer. The enclosed software does the job but is not intuitive in use. There are 2 basic printing programs that could have been combined into one program.

The direct print from a memory card takes quite a bit to get used to. It is a difficult series of menus to go through that will perhaps become easier to use with practice.

I like the ability to change individual color cartridges when one runs out wihout having to change the print head.

It seems to handle various types and weights of paper without problems but the 4x6 feeder is somewhat clunky to use and seems to jam occasionally.

When printing edge to edge on 4X6 it is not true edge to edge as it leaves a margin that necessitates the use of a tear off tab.

One major problem is that Canon's listing says that it supports the XD card in the specifications, I found out the hard way through Canon's technical support that it requires an adapter card from XD to Compact flash that costs about $60.00. In some of the specifications, the need for an adapter was NOT listed and in others it was cleverly worded so that it seemed ambiguious.
