Summary: These speakers kick A$$
Review: If you want speakers that sound excellent, these are the ones. The bass that comes out of these you can actually feel it through my computer desk, even when I am playing at a low volume. The highs are clear and crisp. There is no distortion even when I turn them up all the way. For $100 bucks these are the ones to get.

Summary: it will shake your walls
Review: its not a set you want to fill your house. BUT, a bedroom or upstairs of a house will definately be shaken. the set shakes stuff off my walls when i turn it up. the bass is huge and pumping, the wattage is good. its a good set for any teenager or hip hop fan like myself.

Summary: Awesome
Review: Just bought black ones from [a local store]. Amazing bass. Headphone jack and bass volume on the front comes in handy. A little big, but for 80 watts of power, I can't complain. Great with Audigy sound card -- reverb effects, etc., sound great.

Summary: Yamaha YST-MS50, the best 2.1 setup for $100
Review: Like many of you who purchased the Yamaha YST-MS50, I had to do alot of homework to make the decision to buy these speakers. I bascialy wanted to upgrade to a high-fidelty setup (not necesarily audiophile quality) for my new apartment and would not exceed ...... I once encountered these speakers before when I bought a another Yamaha model almost 3 years ago. They sounded incredible but I simply did not have the .... dollars to spend on a pair of speakers at the time. So when I was going through my decisions, these speakers were at the top of my list. At first I was thinking of trying something like the Altec Lansing 621. But they were a bit pricey. After seeing the Yamaha on Ebay, I couldn't help but try for it. And these speakers ended up being the best... dollars (after an interesting scenario that happened to my seller, would of been ...) I ever spent on anything! While these speakers are not quite the audiophile crowd, it definately comes very close (more close than alot of speakers in this price range) But I'm nonetheless struck by the smooth and warm sound of these speakers. I'm very glad I stuck with Yamaha again. These speakers show what Yamaha's audio expertise is all about. Rock on!

Summary: A diamond in the rough
Review: Nobody I know of has ever heard of these speakers, they all buy Altec Lansing, Monsoon, Labtec, Cambridge, etc... When I found these and got a good deal on them, I thought I would be playing catch-up to my friends (even though the Watt statistics hinted otherwise). Let's just say that the sound is amazing, and my roommate with this $100+ speakers is very jealous of my gigantic Yamaha subwoofer. These speakers don't look like much, but the sound is crisp, complete, and the bass is indeed something to brag about.

Summary: Best Buy!
Review: Replaced my Boston Acoustics BA635 speaker system with the
Yamaha YSTMS50W and I must say I'm impressed. The Boston's are
pretty good but the Yamaha system is fantastic. For the price you
can't beat it.
