Summary: These speakers blow.
Review: Although visually appealing, the sound that these speakers produce is best described as exceedingly thin. The flat panels seems incapable of producing any midrange balance, resulting in a tinny, trebley, overall crappy sound. The subwoofer is barely functional and cranks out muddled tones.

I suppose that if you had incredibly limited desktop space, and that sound quality was a complete nonissue, and you really care about the visual aesthetics of your speakers, then this lame audio set-up was built for you. Otherwise, save your money and buy something else.

Summary: GREAT SOUND! GREAT LOOK! POWERFUL!
Review: Benwin flat panel speakers are great. It gives great sound output. Powerful enough for desktop computers. The sound is great. It also made my desk looks very "futuristic" with its super thin speakers. It's just wayyy COOOLLL~!

Summary: Shake, Shake, Shake
Review: I also purchased these speakers for my brother for Chritmas, and when I hooked them up for him, I felt terrible. The subwoofer, and the other flat panel speakers can not handle anything with base. If you plan to listen to music through them, keep searching, because you will not be happy. When you slightly turn up the volume, the speakers vibrate, and move on your desk. I am returning them. Please do not make the same mistake.

Summary: Good Looking.. But thats all.....
Review: I bought the Benwin BW-2000 Flat Panel Computer Speakers for my brother for Christmas. I was impressed with the design and looks of the product. It's kinda cool to have speakers that are less than an inch thick. Here's the problem. I was not impressed with the small subwofer, also at high volume the speakers distort too easly. These might seem like little problems, but if your looking for good sound and for a speaker system that can sustain that good sound at higher volumes, this product cannot deliver! One more thing! Maybe theres something wrong with my set of speakers, or maybe it's in all of them, but when you turn on the speakers it picks up an AM RADIO STATION! These speakers act like some kind of antenna, to a local AM radio station here where I live. It's allways there, you can turn down the volume or turn it up, and it has no effect. Also when you place your hand on the subwofer, the radio station volume gets louder! I've never been a human radio amplifier before! So, I did what anyone else would have done.. I returned the item..

Cool looks, but thumbs down from me, and my brother!

Summary: Mediocre speakers, more style than substance.
Review: These are a decent pair of basic computer speakers. Subwoofer is tiny and way underpowered (only 6 watts). Flat panel speakers themselves are ok, not great. Sound is not as crisp as a regular set of Altec Lansing speakers. Labtec sells an identical pair of these flat panel speakers but with a much more powerful subwoofer. For less distorted bass I would suggest those instead.

Summary: Don't last.
Review: Well I've had these speakers for about a year now. At first I thought I'd get used to them, and they sounded okay for some things. I have them mounted on the wall with the included wall mounts. Have not touched them and they still fell apart. The flat panel on one of them simply came unglued and fell off. They also don't handle good loud sound very well. I would not recommend these to anyone. I only paid [a small amount] for them brand new so a lesson learned is a lesson learned. Cheap is cheap.
