Summary: THEY MAY BE CUTE- - - BUT
Review: THIS SPEAKER SYSTEM MAY BE CUTE AND CARRY A TOP END PRICE BUT I FOUND THEM TO BE TRULEY LACKING IN PERFORMANCE.THE SUB ADDS VERY LITTLE BASS THAT YOU WOULD NOTICE AND THE VOICE TRACKS ON ALL THE CDS I TRIED WERE SO FAR IN THE REAR THEY WERE BARELY AUDIBLE.IF YOU WANT CUTE,BUY THESE.IF YOU WANT PERFORMANCE KEEP LOOKING.

Summary: Pretty good - but not perfect
Review: When i used AC '97/AC-XG integrated audio chipsets with these speakers, they sounded mediocre at best. I didn't think they really deserved the harman kardon name (i've owned many harmon products like infinity, jbl, harman, etc. for many years!)

but after i changed my sound card (i recommend creative audigy and higher), it was dramatically better.

Whatever sound card you get, make sure that it has at least 4 channel capabilities - because if you do, you can really take advantage of the vMax virtual surround - it works!

Also, since this speaker system comes with two jacks (one is optional for 4 speaker surround), it means that you can play games with one jack connected to the computer, and another to an ipod! works great when you want a change of music without having to tinker with settings!

THE BAD PART:

There's a light buzz that comes out from the speakers at all times. if you have a very quiet computer and you're using the speakers in a quiet place, you may notice it (my laptop is near silent). if not though, it shouldn't be noticeable.
