Summary: Great for small rooms and apartments
Review: Don't expect huge sound from these but for a small room or places where you can't use a lot of volume like apartments they're not bad at all.

Setup was simple, each speaker has a color coded and labeled RCA plug so you can easily see where to plug them into the bass unit. You also get two (and only two) wall mounts for speakers if you want to hang them on the wall.

The bad:
The sound is low, they're only 100 watts or so.
The volume needs a finer adjustment increment. It seems that one notch to the left is too low and one to the right too loud often.
There's noticable "hiss" from the speakers when there's no sound being output but it's low enough that unless you're some freaky audiophile you'll live with it just fine.
The silver colored grills are plastic
The power brick is big and heavy.

The Good:
They sound decent for small rooms or places where you can't have them too loud.
You can use the wired remote to adjust everything from overall volume to the volume of the center, rear, bass, treble speakers individually. (note, the remote is on the OTHER SIDE of the styrofoam packing in the box...it's not lost :) as well as switched between stereo and surround. There's even a "test" function which pumps white noise thru each speaker in sequence to test that they're working.
The Bass is pretty deep.
There are TWO headphone jacks on the bottom of the wired remote.

Overall for $40 I'm happy for my use. But for anyone looking for big sound or "real" 5.1 surround sound look elsewhere. The rear speakers always seem a tad low no matter how much you crank up the volume on them though.

For, like I said, games, small rooms, apartments, places were you can't be too loud and the like these are great.

Summary: best deal ever!
Review: I have done some price research with other online stores. Amazon has the greatest deal. Other stores sell around 70 dollars. Plus $30 gift certificate if you apply for amazon visa card will bring the price down to $9.98 with FREE shipping!! What's the deal! Do not compare the quality of this speaker with $200 speaker on the market. You will be satisfied.

Summary: Good for gaming and DVDs.
Review: I recently bought this system and it's great. It's designed for the XBOX and to be honest, I think that's the only thing you should hook it up to. Now you might be thinking that it's no good just because it only has Pro Logic. Well, yes it's surround sound, but not digital.

It's not all about digital stuff people. It's about how clear, crsip, and vibrant the sound is from the speakers. These speakers are just that. You won't be let down.

Summary: The Best soround sound for the price!
Review: I recomend this to gamers, and even people that want soround sound but dont want to spend alot. Now it is true that it isn't going get the cops called on you since it isn't like a movie theatre but it is very loud in a closed room! The best part is the... Base! The base will make your floor viberate in the right spot. However their are some down sides to this.
1. It is only 100 watts(but big deal)
2.It dosnt have a cordless remote
3. you can hear some sttic whaen it is off but you can get used to it.

Up sides to this.
1. perfect for gameing
2. inexpensive
3. easy to change sound level
4. easy to set up

GO BUY THIS!!![.]

Summary: what's wrong with this speaker ?
Review: I was totally dispointed by it. The sound is so slow and left rear and right rear have no sound at all. I'm going to return it. Can I make it a little bit louder ? I think maybe my operation has problem, but I checked everything either in computer or speaker. Could you anyone let me know the truth. Tks.

Summary: Un-ratable
Review: I'd like to be able to rate the product but since the seller failed to meet their end of the agreement I never received my speakers.

Summary: Good, but not a deal at all.
Review: If you need something a bit better than the integrated speakers in your TV, get these. I don't know if I was unlucky, or all the rear right speakers are simply nonworking. It wouldn't produce the same sound as the left one (left rear speaker is 10 times better in sound quality). I thought about exchnaging at least. Still, I don't spend $100 for a 200W home theater, so it's my bad, not Amazon's. But the lack of Registration Card, or any type of warranty is a minus whe buying any type of electronics. Oh, and the hissing sound is there all the time, even when powered off. You get what you pay for ( or a bit worse).

Summary: Really good for the price
Review: May not be 5.1 digital surround, and it even says that it is "Dolby pro-logic" which is simulated surround sound with 5.1 speakers. But it really sounds great in a small area. Nice bang for the buck, perfect for a small game room.

Summary: Good deal for the price
Review: The sound quality is pretty clear and good enough for an apartment. Except the hissing sound of the speakers when power turned off and the wired remote, I am satisfied with everything else. Good deal and at amazon just 40 bucks.

Summary: great 4 price...2 flaws
Review: these sound pretty good for the money. pretty bassy..better in that respect than most out there..again, esp. for the money. some other reviews say they are simulated surround, etc. but they are as advertised a pro logic system. not dolby digital (5 totally seperate channels + bass signal to the sub) there are only 2 problems. there is always a hiss, not too noticeable, but there, whenever is plugged in. only solutions are to either unplug it or plug in cheap headphones into the wired remote control and unplug them when you want to use it. the other flaw is in the volume control. it has an electronic volume dial that controls other settings as well. problem is that on volume, the incerements are way to big...either that or there is a problem with mine. (if anyone else's is like this, post here) on mine, the volume only goes up or down every 2 clicks of the wheel, not each click. and then when it does, its too much, it's not a problem during the day usually when it doesn't matter, but i live in an apartment and its hard to find the right volume where i can hear it but the room mates/neighbors can't.
