Review: I bought a Megaworks system and the subwoofer caught fire after three weeks. I sent it back and received a new Megaworks system in exchange. After two months, the subwoofer started crackling along with all but one tweeter. I had to send it back to creative this time because my 90 day store return was up. Creative claimed that the subwoofer had been damaged in shipping and would not warranty it. I told them just to fix it, as their warranty stated (fix or replace). They told me that they only replaced, and they could not replace a product damaged in shipping. I had them ship it back to me in the same box and packing they had received it in. It arrived in the box I had shipped it in (the box was undamaged) with no packing (I had packaged it very well with the original styrophome). A leg had been broken by being dropped on a sharp corner (although the shipping box was fine). Obviously they had dropped it after opening my box and had refused to warranty it. So, I am out a heap of cash with nothing to show for it.UPDATE: Cambridge sent me a new sub for free after threatening legal action. They were very cordial, unlike the jerks at Creative.

Review: I still can't pick my jaw up off the floor after listening to these speakers. I use these speakers in conjunction with my Audigy Gamer sound card and can only admit that it is an unbeatable combination. My sounds are much clearer and have so so much more detail and depth. The subwoofer is awesome, I can feel the ground vibrate as if I were there (in the movie I'm watching at the time). You must get these speakers if you are an audiophile. I got them right here at amazon.com for [amt]and it's well worth every penny.

Review: Ive only had my set for a few days, but i am very impressed by the performance of this system. This set is ever bit as good as the klipsch promedia, and much more affordable. the bass is very powerful, and extremely detailed. The satellites are very crisp and clear. The only problem is the that all the controls, except for the volume, are on the back of the sub. if your looking for the best performance from a 5.1 system for the best price, this is the system for you.

Review: My 510D speakers lasted about 3 weeks before the subwoofer lost power. I shipped them to Creative's shop in Oklahoma and they sent me new speakers...after 30 days. However, combined with my Audigy sound card the 5.1 audio is literally a blast. The digital out from the Audigy allows for a single cable to connect your PC to the sub driving all 5 satellites -- very clean. Gaming with these speakers is a surprisingly new experience over 2.1 speakers or even headphones. Figuring out what card supports which speakers in various formats is simplified with the Creative Audigy/Megaworks combo; just cross your fingers that you don't end up with a lemon.

Summary: Fantastic sound, but...
Review: Ordered two "open box" sets (one Franklin discount ea.) of the 510D for my 7.1 home theater, without hearing them first (huge gamble!). Hooked them up, and all of the reviews were right-on. Using my Pioneer receiver to power the sats has netted me loud, clear, audiophile music and movies (comparable to the Polk Audio DS7200, but cheaper by 5x). Unfortunetly, so were the reviews right that mentioned blown amplifiers, because one of the subs wouldn't power up. My options are to send one set back (no way!), or take a discount from FC and try to get it repaired under warranty. For my modified purposes, the 510D has exceeded my expectations and may yet be cheaper than I thought! I would have been PO'd if I had paid the 3.5 Franklins retail.

Summary: Great System before it Burnt Up.
Review: The sound and volume from this system is amazing. I loved it!! The problem is it overheated after 45 minutes at 80% volume and the power supply fried.
Creative Labs is not offering any warranty coverage for me because I live in the Virgin Islands.
The power supply needs to be made external in order to disipate the huge amount of heat created by the power supply.
I am still trying to get resolution with them and if I do, I will happily give the system high marks. Like I said, when it worked, it worked well.
