Summary: Great sound, Excellent value !
Review: Before purchasing this, I was actually shopping for the one by Altec lansing. But this unit also came up on amazon.com. It had superior technical specs - 12W of total RMS power compared with 4W on the Altec Lansing, a 2" sub-woofer driven at 6W RMS, and sported a lower price than the competition. I purchased this knowing it was returnable. Having had this for a month now, I must say that the sound quality of this unit is simply excellent. It is as good or better than the competition (except the Bose, which I have not heard). It has plenty of oomph for a bedroom or office. I would highly recommend this unit.

Other reviewers have adequately covered its features, and I can't think of anything that is lacking in this unit. If like me, you were considering this unit but were concerned that Logic3 isn't a well known brand - then I strongly recommend that you get this unit. It has high quality sound, excellent design and features, and also saves you some $$.

Summary: Doesn't fit iPod Photo
Review: Bought it for my just purchased iPod photo but the hole in which the iPod is supposed to plug in is not wide enough. Don't know if the iPod photo is larger or what. But I had to return this item. It looks really slick, and I wish it did fit my iPod photo.

Summary: Nice look, awful sound
Review: Comes with firewire and USB cables, nice and compact, but the sound
is awful. Too bad it looks cute. The amp clips even at modest volumes, the speakers vibrate and sound tinny

Summary: Great product
Review: First this product sounds great. No questions asked. Also it is compact. Furthermore it does come with adapters for the iPod mini and Photo (I know, I have a Photo.) Last it comes with a headphone adapter for a CD player. Great product.

Summary: Good sound but...
Review: I have an 3G iPod and an iPod mini, both works great with the Logic3. The sound is pretty good for such small device and it's enough for a living room or a backyard...
Pros:
* Works with many iPods generations
* Good Sound
* Small and portable
* Charge the iPod while is in the Dock
Cons:
* No Rev/Fwd, Stop/Play buttons, you have to manually control de music from your iPod or you can use a wireless control like the naviPod

Summary: Some unresolved issues
Review: I would rate higher but I have some unresolved issues. On the positive side I find the sound to be pretty decent considering the size. It is also nice that the unit is able to act as a fully functioning docking station and comes with USB, Firewire and external power brick included as part of the price. It is a nice looking accessory that matches the iPod design and curves well.

On the negative side I get static through the iStation speakers whenever my iPod spins up to reload cache memory. This only happens when running off external power. It is fine when
running on battery power. The static is quite noticeable on my 3G 40Gb iPod. It is not nearly as bad on a mini-iPod I borrowed for a test.

I sent an email to Logic3 support at www.logic3.com (UK) asking if there were any simple solutions but have not received any response after a week.

Summary: Fits iPod Photo!
Review: This is a product as cool, compact, smart, and portable as my iPod Photo 40GB. It's hard to find portable speakers that mate properly with the slightly thicker Photo model. The unit also ships with slot adapters for other iPod and mini models, and a blank adapter for non-docking iPods and other products.

Aside from that, the whole system is well-designed. It folds flat for transporting, and has a clear plastic cover that protects the speakers when folded, and helps support the iPod when opened. There are also little blue lights on either side of the iPod, which would probably be cool if you plan to use your I-Station in the dark.

There are connections (and supplied cables) for firewire and USB, so you can actually sync your iPod while it is in the unit. There is also a line-in port (and cable) and an AC adapter. The unit will run on batteries if you like, but I haven't used it that way, so I won't comment.

The sound is as good as can be expected from such a small unit, but it does have some usable bass, which is more than I thought it would have. Using the iPod's built-in EQ seems to help this as well. The "3D" feature boosts the treble a bit, but I haven't really noticed any other differences. The volume is more than adequate for most purposes, and would be fine for hotel rooms, offices, etc.

Overall, I am very happy with this product, and would recommend it to others. Like the iPod itself, it serves the purpose well.

Summary: Great sound, functionality, & value!
Review: This thing only cost me $80 online, much less than the competing brands, & it also had more power. Although the Bose system is great, it costs way too much. I didn't like the Altec ones because although I thought the neodynium speakers were neat, I wanted something with a bit more "oomph" instead of just small 1-inch speakers. This piece has the neodynium speakers, PLUS a 6-watt woofer, which makes for pretty good bass from a small portable system. The I-station also comes with all the adaptors & cable/adaptors that you would ever need, for syncing & charging & connecting to other audio devices. I love this thing! the only thing missing is a remote, but for this price I don't need one.

Summary: Favorite Christmas Gift
Review: This was by far the best Christmas gift I recieved. At first, I thought the size of the speakers would not produce quality sound. When it's folded, its only about the size of a small book. But as soon as I docked my ipod mini, it connected to the speakers and started charging. When I played some songs, I couldn't have been more happier. The sound was clear and it produced a strong bass sound. They also come with different sized holders to firmly fit your ipod. When my family saw it set up in my room, they couldn't have been more jealous! Logic3 really made a quality accessory for my ipod. I strongly recommend these speakers.
