Summary: If I could give this thing 6 stars I would!
Review: Incredible! This thing can handle a major battle in Descent 3 with no problem! I had a Voodoo 2 until recently, and it didn't even come close to this thing! If your considering a V2 because of the price, don't! The V3 3000 is way better! Defenatly worth the little extra $!!!

Summary: Linux - Quake III - No Problem
Review: Installation was a snap. Uses XFree86_SVGA server. OpenGL also a snap. Quake III plays incredibly.

Summary: Voodoo card is nice
Review: It plays games real good. no problems. installation was a snap. But plays some of my movies in asf format real bad. Bunch of yellow lines and crap. comes with nfs3, descent, and some other game

Summary: Too little too late
Review: Seriously outdated technology at this point. If you want to run really really old games fast, than buy it. If you want to play the latest games and have them look good, don't buy it. The image quality is terrible only 16-bit in a world where 32-bit has been standard for years. There is a big difference, your eyes will pay the penalty with ugly graphics.

Summary: Suspicous reviews
Review: Somehow I find the other reviews suspicious in their intent. Either they are excellent or poor. In my opinion, the V3 holds its own with the other cards out there (including TNT2). It does support all the APIs, contrary to what another reviewer mentioned. But it does not support 32 bit color (although all others card on the market which support 32 bit color take a severe performance hit when used at that color depth). I think this card is an excellent value at the price listed.

Summary: An old card
Review: Tecnologically, this card is out of date. Spend your money for a new generation card. If you are one of those Voodoo fans, at least try the new series.

Summary: All-around quality
Review: The current batch of Voodoo 3 cards have been hit hard for supporting only 16-bit color. Few games support higher this year and the few that do, Quake3, look only marginally better. No photo-realistic 3d action games exist. While the latest TNT card is slightly faster, the bottom line is a there is no game that will not run on your Voodoo3 card. The textures tend to look blurry on Voodoo cards, some prefer it; others hate it. (I got used to it)
