Summary: Nice and Easy!
Review: After trying to install the ATI Technologies Xpert 128 PCI 16MB and having problems with both installation and support, I gave up and went with the 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 PCI. Presto! It installed in minutes without any problems. I did go to their web site to download the latest and greatest drivers before I swapped my video card; and would highly recommending doing so -- tech support will usually tell you to try the latest drivers should you encounter problems anyhow.

Summary: Absolutely Fantastic!
Review: All I have to say is that THIS IS THE BEST CARD OUT THERE! If you arent sure which card to buy, tae my advice and buy this one! The text is awesome and crisp, the installation was simple, and the game graphics and resolutions are amazing. And there is not much of a difference between this card and the AGP version, just that the AGP version has a TV-OUT jack.

Summary: One of the Best 2D/3D PCI Video cards
Review: I bought this video card because I wanted better frame rates when I played Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2. I have an AMD K6-200 processor and did not want to upgrade at this time. The VooDoo3 card did the trick. The MSCFS 2 plays very well now, even with the sky full of airplanes. The install was simple and I used the latest video drivers for the card from 3Dfx. No problem. Also I had read that the card became hot to the touch during use but this is not true. Warm yes, but not hot. However, I do not over clock anything. I simply replaced my old ATI card with this great card and that was it. All my programs are running correctly and the 3D games are flying! If you want to buy a fast 2D/3D PCI video card, this is the card to get.

Summary: TRUELY A REMARKABLE CARD
Review: I have 2 of this cards. One still in shrink wrap and the other I'm using. What makes this card outstanding is the smoothness of the graphics. It's very fast , plays all modern games without skips. For example If you play NEED FOR SPEED PORSHE UNLEASHED with another brand .Let's say a Geforce with 64 mb.You won't get the fine smoothness you see that you can get with a voodoo3.The chip is unbelivable.3DFX chip is a work of art.

Summary: HELLO VOODOO 3!
Review: I just recently purchased this card and I have to say it is a bout 1,000 times better than my old card it was so easy to install and I had no idea it would work so good. The resolution was outstanding and the sharp 3D texture was overwhelming this is definetly the best pci graphics card out there. And if you have a pentium II 250 mghz or higher I highly recomend this card. It was definetly worht the money.

Summary: FPS for your buck.
Review: I recently got a Voodoo 3 3000 PCI from Amazon and it's the best computer component I've ever bought. I have a packarb bell P200 128MB ram and a S3 Virge 2MB video card and had to go in and disable the S3 card since it's integrated into the motherboard, but after that it worked great. I play Half-life Counter-Strike Mod(great game, great mod, opposing force expansion is extremely buggy and frustrating bad buy) and I really kick but now with the new card when I'm one or two vs. one or two others, but if I get 3 or 4 characters in my view at once and everyone is firing fps really degrades immidietely and I get wasted, I think that has alot to do with having a 3 and 1/2 year old mother board and processor though. I haven;t tried any rendering in any of my 3D editors yet, I hope to see a big boost in rendering.

P.S. If you have a previous video card integrated into your motherboard instead of it being a seperate card and are upgrading here's how to disable the old one: Right click on My Computer and click properties, click the Device Manager tab, then click view by type, now click Display Adapters, double click your current video card and check "disable in this hardware profile" and uncheck "exist in all profiles"

Summary: Blazing Performance
Review: I upgraded to the Voodoo3 from a Voodoo1 on my non-AGP K6-2 366. Instantly, I was able to go from losing frames and suffering from lag induced control problems in Need for Speed:High Stakes to tearing up the tracks with silky smooth graphics and all the bells and whistles enabled.

I haven't found the 16-bit color limitation in 3-D mode to be noticeable in gaming environments. The card loses a star simply because there are cards out there with better image quality. However, this card easily makes up for that loss in value.

All in all, I got exactly what I was looking for: great performance at a great price in a machine that is past it's prime.

Summary: A long installation process but worth it!
Review: I was very limited on video cards due to the fact I have no AGP slot. I reviewed and read up on alot of cards and the Voo Doo 3 3000 was a good buy. I have to tell you that this video card caused me some major headaches when installing. My factory video card was integrated into the motherboard which caused alot of problems. Now hours and hours later I am done and very happy. I would highly recommend buying a fan for the video card due to the massive heat it puts off. The Voo Doo 3 3000 really works great, especially for gamers.

Summary: Don't Know? THIS IS THE ONE!
Review: I'll keep this brief. If you like games, but you're clueless, or not, this is the card for you! Look I know a thing or two about my computer, and this is by far the best card out there! If you have no clue what to do, that's ok! It's easy to install, and easy to update the drivers! This card will take you through at least two computers, and the games to come in the future. The minimum for most games now is 4MB of on board RAM, and this has 16MB! And you can say bye bye to software rendering because this supports Glide, and OpenGL. If you have a pentium II, III, celeron, or any AMD card, this can double or triple your frame rates!

Summary: Strong but old
Review: I've had this card for two years now and have had it in two computers. If your looking for a cheaper 3d card this one runs great. my first computer was a 200 pentium mx and after putting in the card i was running a game that listed minnimum requirerment as a pentium 360 and insisted on a 3dfx accelerater. the game play was slow but that it ran at all amazed me. on games where you meat system requirments it runs buitiful. on a slow system like my 200 youll even notice a improvment of system speed on all aplications if you also instal a sound accelrater. I've been very happy with it but for two things. one it was terrible trying to get the drivers to load on either one of my systems, and the way the directions tell you to do it worked not at all. windows kept making it a default vga monitor, and had to update drives threw my systems icon in the control pannel, and two its old. it runs open gl and anything optimized for 3dfx great but has probblems with some off the newer graghic fogging and lighting effects, and 3dfx isnt a popouler formate for the new generation 3d games on the market i just brought a game i can't use because it dosn't suport it. great for the price but more and more of the new games won't suport it and i'm looking to upgrade when i can afford it.
