Summary: Buyer Beware!
Review: Anyone interested in a DVD playback solution should not consider this card! After purchasing, I was plagued by a host of problems, including a very well documented error that up to 60% of all users under windows 98 may encounter! The only solution presented by the manufacturer was to download and install drivers for a rival company's DVD player and card!!! After all of this hassle, there was NO FULL SCREEN playback mode to be found, and additionally, the unit crashed each and every time a VCD was inserted. The product clearly states compatibility with VCD 1.0 and 2.0, as well as SVCD. Simply put, this card does not even come close to delivering the promised performance or features! Very, very disappointing.

Summary: This card works great!!!
Review: I bought this card and installed in a Athlom 950, with a Voodoo3 3500 and sound blaster live card. My DVD is a Toshiba 12x. Before I have the card i used to watch the DVD in my 17" Viewsonic monitor with InterVideo, the software that brougt the voodoo card and nver have a problem. After i installed this card I always watch the DVD movies in my 21" Sony Tv. I have no problem with the software in windows 98 and, now, in Windows Me. Futhermore, i bought the remote control from Sigma Desings, and woks great too, now i can watch my movies in bed with total control, i can fastforward, rewind, stop, slow at my fingertips, i think this is a very good upgrade for someone that has already a DVD drive and want to wacth movies in a big screen TV.

Summary: Fantastic Card!!!
Review: I installed this card on a Win95 Pentium II 333 MHz system with a Panasonic SR-8585 DVD-ROM and a Creative Graphic Blaster TNT RIVA TNT2 Video Card. The installation was simple and flawless. The image quality on TV and monitor is fantastic. The picture quality rivals many DVD players and the sound is superb. This card by Cendyne comes with a movie - "Telling Lies in America". I do have one complaint, Amazon.com does not have enough technical information on their site about this card. All the technical specs was obtained from the Cendyne web site. The box contains:- the PCI decoder card, one double sided DVD - drivers and software on one side and the movie on the other, s-video to composite converter, VGA pass through cable, mini phono pass through cable, manual. An optional remote (...) is available but it is not currently sold by Amazon.com.

Summary: Some compatibility issues, but otherwise fine ...
Review: This is a rebadged Sigma Designs Real Magic Hollywood plus card and you will need their drivers for it to work well under Win98 and later. This card and the Voodoo2 do NOT get along, they use the same mechanism to switch the VGA stream and your system will lock up if you try to run both.

On the plus side, it makes it possible to watch DVD movies on even a "low end" Pentium II or Celeron system. I ended up putting my card into the PC that had been my previous desktop, and running the Svideo output right to the TV. Works wonderfully and the movies don't "glitch" anymore.

If you already have a DVD drive in your PC but movie playback is jerky and/or you've run into DVDs that just won't play with software decoders, then this is a great upgrade. I you just want another DVD player you can buy a cheap one for the same price as this card and a DVD-ROM drive so this isn't that great a solution.

Summary: Great card
Review: This was the perfect solution for me. I had a dvd rom drive and a voodoo 3 card. Software playback was horrible. This thing works great and I can connect it to my TV. It also came with a nice dvd title (the original Little Shop Of Horrors). Very easy to install and configure.
