Summary: Good mouse & value for price
Review: (...) I tried marble mouse (don't like the feel) & microsoft basic optical mouse. I wanted logitech for sure (also have elite keyboard - best one). After looking at size (small for my hand but works great) thought let's give it a try. It has 3 additional button apart from middle wheel & two click buttons.
It is perfect in all area. If you want bigger size go with MX 500 or MX 700 if you like to spend some more. Otherwise this is great for price. My wife can use this without any problem because of size. Buy it.

Summary: Nice mouse
Review: Great mouse, cheap and works great. The back and forward buttons are amazing, no more having to move the mouse all the way to the browser's button :-). The tracking is wonderful, I have experienced zero lags or "errors." Everything works and the mouse feels comfortable in the hand, no doubt because it is light. The ambidextrous design should be welcome for lefties.

Summary: smooth moving
Review: I am no computer whiz and have just replaced an 8 year old computer with a new, modern one. That meant getting rid of the old keyboard and mouse. I wanted to start fresh. Before, I had an old style, rolling ball mouse. I thought it worked okay at the time, but after I bought this one (it's optical, and not a rolling ball one), I was surprised by how much more stable this mouse kept the arrow key on the screen. The scroll down wheel on the top of the mouse is a wonderful extra. Instead of having to click and stay on that darn bar on the right side of the screen when you want to move a page up or down, you just roll the wheel on the mouse with your finger and it does it for you. I will never get a mouse that doesn't have that feature again. This one also has a neat feature of having two little buttons on the sides that act as your back button and your forward button. So when you want to go back to the page you were just at, you can click it with your finger instead of dragging the mouse to the back button on your screen. Super convenient and handy. There are mouses twice the price of this, but I can't imagine them being any more nicer to use. Plus I got mine on sale, so I am very satisfied with it.

Summary: Impressive quality and performance
Review: I got this mouse to replace my Micro$oft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 which was, at the time I purchased it, Micro$oft's best mouse. Long story short, the MS mouse broke after about 6 months although I really liked it while it lasted.
After a few days of use I have to say the Logitech outperforms the MS in every aspect except comfort and that's the main reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I have average size hands for a man and this mouse just isn't as comfy as the larger, flatter, asymetrical MS mouse. Other nit-picks: The location of the forward button and the application selector button(both of which I never use anyhow). It's an awkward reach to use either one.
On the plus side the buttons feel solid with a nice, positive click that's pretty quiet. The wheel feels solid too, with just enough resistance to prevent accidentally clicking while scrolling. Cursor movement is the smoothest I've ever experienced and this thing is great for gaming. The bundled MouseWare 9.76 is nice if you want the customization and the application selector button, though I choose not to use it. Performs great with or without the MouseWare installed.
All in all a great mouse, especially when you consider the price.

Summary: Next best thing to the MX 500
Review: I had this mouse before switching to the MX 500. Only because the price of the MX 500 dropped and I promised never to spend more than $30 on a mouse. This puppy is perfect for surfing the web and meets adequate gaming needs. it's light and great if you're left handed. If you're looking for an entry level mouse, this is the best you can get .... nothing beats it's accuracy.

Summary: not a great 5 button programable mouse
Review: I just bought this mouse and wanted to get rid of it right away.
Drawbacks:
1. The Switch Application button (the one on top) is located way back. I always have to curl my finger hard to press this button.
2. The palm rest is two high and it feels like you do not rest your palm at all. Sometime, it hurts your ankle
3. The Back button is designed way back. I do have to pull my hand back to be able to press this button => extremely inconvenient
4. The Forward button is located on the right, I rarely use it since it hurts my little finger everything I tried to locate and push it
5. The software does not work instantly. Sometime, it takes a few seconds to close the application compared with instantly by selecting Close application button on the application window.
6. If you use mouse a lot while surfing internet, I do not recommend this mouse. You are not able to combine relaxing your palm on this mouse and using all 6 buttons at the same time.

Summary: slick and easy to use
Review: I just got this mouse on Amazon and love it. It's accurate and smooth and very comfortable to use. The extra buttons are extremely convenient- I really like the "back" and "forward" buttons on the side for web surfing. For normal daily use, I suggest this optical mouse over the others by Logitech and Microsoft.

Summary: Great mouse
Review: I just upgraded from a Microsoft Wireless Intelimouse Explorer and could not be happier. The mouse fits my hand like a glove. Over all the buttons are all very well placed for me and the precision is unmatched. I could have bought the more expensive MX 500 but they have the same exact optical engine. The only difference is design. What a great mouse.Logitech has always done a great job

Summary: sticking buttons after 6 months
Review: I replaced my Microsoft Optical Mouse with the MX 310 and initially felt very happy with my decision. The Logitech has a much more solid feel with more precise control. After 6 months the right mouse button started to stick and more recently the left button would intermittently require more force to click. It has become extremely annoying having to consciously push the mouse buttons each time, almost like having to push hard on a pen top to get it to unsheath.

I wrote to Logitech with my problem and they said to bring it to a service center. I'm going to bring it back to Best Buy and see if they'll fix or replace it.

Summary: Excellent Product
Review: I wasn't surprised the MX310 worked so well. I have used Logitech mice for years and have never had a problem. The MX310 has a great feel and is very responsive. Great for games.
I would like to get the MX700 - the cordless product. It has recieved excellent reviews.
